Ramsay. But he’s 9th choice
Ramsay…
but Rob Jones has more of a chance of getting a game at RB than Ramsay whilst Slot is here!
I got a feeling that moving away from LFC is requested by Robbo…wanting possibly more playing time (probably not at Spurs though), and away from an area that he used to share with Jota with new scenary…and also, probably away from Slot.
Edit: Also seeing how TAA was receiving hostile reception from some section of fans for leaving on a free, maybe Robbo wants to give a tiny bit back to the club.
This interest doesn’t happen without encouragement from Robertson’s camp.
We have a winner. ![]()
This is absolutely Robbo pushing for a move for more playing time before the world cup. It makes no sense for the club to do this except to grant the wishes of a Liverpool legend.
This was a week ago. Read the full article not just the headlines. He wants to play as much as possible and realistically he’s not going to get that here. Don’t want to see him go, but respect it if this is the reason this is happening (likely).
Hmmm, I wonder if John Heitinga has anything to do with recruiting Robbo to Spurs.
Without saying this is the case, we dont actually know how well Robbo has adapted to not playing. He has said all the right things, but there is a big difference between saying all the right things when you’re replacement is signed vs actually living that for 6 months and figuring out how to act in your new role. I have seen people who who were good leaders lose their voice once they felt less important (playing less often). They want to give the new guy the room he needs and now no longer knows when is the right time to speak. I’ve seen formerly jovial characters who were great at lightening the mood at the right time stop doing that after no longer being sure what their place is to do that anymore. I’ve seen hard line and strict expectations all of a sudden be perceived differently, as if its undermining, once they are no longer playing much. This latter case is precisely the situation Klopp acted proactively to avoid with Hendo once his replacements were brought in.
We dont know how much encouragement we have given spurs with the inquiry, but if we are doing it, we should not assume that we would be losing the influence of a former robbo because it is entirely likely that influence has already waned/changed.
Romano:
BREAKING: Liverpool are set to recall Kostas Tsimikas if Robertson joins Tottenham. No recall clause but formal club to club contact with Tsimikas to be considered Robertson’s replacement. Liverpool want him back if/when Robertson’ move to Spurs is completed, Roma already gave green light.
As long as we bring him back, however I am not happy with us depleting the squad.
Remains to be seen what happens next summer, but then I could see us selling Tsimi with a year left on his deal.
Tsimikas has hardly played for Roma and he isn’t match fit. If Kerkez was to miss one or more games, we’d be in a serious bind.
If Robertson leaves and we get new defenders (a versatile one who can play multiple positions), then it’s a good deal. If we only recall Tsimikas to replace him, then it’s a huge risk.
One good thing about bringing Kostas back is that we will be losing a familiar face in Robbo but getting one back with Tsimi. No transition issues.
Gaurdian now saying all sides are keen to get it done.
Then again Robbo hasn’t if Tsmi has been training that should be ok.
Just feel we are completely light weight as it is
Unless as @zoran said above we might be after one of their players?
I was saying exactly the same thing to my son.
Actually, Robertson has 1,100 minutes playing time and he’s has hardly featured recently. Tsimikas by comparison, has 670, which is closer to Chiesa’s.
What a load of Rubbish, as Limie says, Robbo has cost us more goals this season in less games and with regards to Gakpo, that is down to Gakpo as Kerkez has made some great rubs and been totally ignored.
Also, name one opposition forward that has dominated Kerkez!
Lastly, he is developing well and his last few games have been better at both ends of th pitch.
On Robbo, if it is him pushing for the move then that’s the only way the club should entertain selling him.
