Andy Robertson (LB) to Tottenham

Maybe he asked his next door neighbour for advice…

Robbo is one of my favourite players of the Klopp era, especially regarding his mentality. Kerkez is a dwarf compared to him, and has still everything to prove at this club, but can still grow. Even now, with the legs going, Robbo brings a lot in terms of winning experience.

I’d prefer to keep him until the summer, but if he really wants to go now in order to get regular playing time, and we can get Tsimi back, then we have to accept this, in order to honour his long years of impeccable services for the club.

Also, Paisley’s words spring to mind: let the players lose their legs elsewhere.

Thought this deserved less than a day to earn a ‘nice reply’ tbh

Can we sell Kerkez instead?

With Robertson… he has a World Cup coming up. I can understand his desire to play regularly and be prepared for it. Plus, of course just to keep on playing due to him competitiveness.

We talk about player loyalty, giving their all, etc… but when it goes the other way, many supporters are hesitant to let them go without “sucking the maxium” from them.

I remember when we bought Robbo - I had watched some Hull games and thought he is decent in attack, but I had doubts about his defensive work. Thought he was going to be a backup/squad player where we needed a starter.

Oh did he prove me wrong! An absolute legend and will be sad to see him go, but if he wants out, give him a proper send-off and let him go with huge thank you and best wishes.

That’s because Klopp got the best out of his players, unlike the one we have now.

By going spurs hes going from shit to shitter.
Shouldve gone Madrid. Nice weather and you get a tan if benched.

I don’t think Scots tan very well. Napoli must spend a fortune on sunblock for McTominay.

Looks like Robertson is gone. Vuck this. He deserved a heros send off at Anfield.

One of the greatest LB’s in the PL and probably best bargain buy ever. Will miss u and your personality Robbo.

Few points and reasons why:

Having considered the offer, and their alternative options in the position, Liverpool have decided against proceeding with an agreement.

Robertson did not agitate for a move to London and will continue to have a role to play for the remainder of the season as Liverpool attempt to orchestrate an overdue improvement in their league results.

Liverpool had looked into recalling Kostas Tsimikas from a loan spell at Roma, but it is understood the Italian side were reluctant to allow it.

So it wasn’t Robbos wish to go after all, just the management.

Some serious questions need to be asked about Edwards and Hughes if they made the decision to offload Andy when we are so short of defenders.
Especially as we don’t seem to be interested in signing anyone in this transfer window.

Slot doesn’t get away without criticism either as he praised Andy just last week for remaining professional about the move. He couldnt give a fuck about him going (along with some in here) We are falling apart and he waves away probably our best dressing room motivator. I don’t think he has a clue about a players qualities and what leadership brings to the team mentality other than his precious system…..which isn’t working.

Yes, Andy is past his best but he still has a role to play (for now) to help the squad gel. He should also be given a dignified send off from a packed Anfield when his time comes.
