Was going watch but if they aren’t playing….

Well, at least they aren’t on strike. I’m sure everything will fall into place now.

This makes my even more happy. Watching a nice little win now against Como, really good debut for Jacquet, Araujo seemingly slotting in very comfortably, and this.

I’m very excited.

I get why but it is weird to be going after two players from the same team who play more or less the position. Has somethin like this happened before?

Not that I remember right now. But then I guess it’s not common for one team to have two players playing similar positions on their way out the door, and another team of a similar-ish stature having plenty of room for both of them.

Probably because PSG have been stock piling them.

Luis Enrique their manager seemed rather pissed off that they wanted to leave.

Yes you can only play 11 players at a time but the benched players must not be better than the 1st eleven.

When Barcola is confirmed, we need to sell someone to free up a foreigner slot so the likely departure is Gakpo. Mbaye is U21 so he doesn’t take up a slot.

I would imagine Chiesa will be moved on too. He played in the game at the training ground today, which tells a story. Add more wingers and he slips even further back.

We will likely take a hit even on a modest fee, in order to get the wages off the books. On his part he is a smashing fella and has been no bother at all, but he isn’t quite making the level to crack into the team and he still has a lot to offer as a player, probably back in Serie A. Good luck to him, but I don’t see a future for him here, and we likely need younger more dynamic players for the flanks, and if there is a temptation to think of Chiesa as a back up centre forward until Ekitike comes back, I get it, but think we will be better served finding an Araujo-style loan for that.
