It also shouldn’t be difficult to understand that I was simply saying that I haven’t seen anybody on this forum doing that.
So is “mad b#@tard” an actual clinical name for a mental illness?
As in, “you have been diagnosed as a mad b@$ta#d”.
Yeah, these words are not acceptable.
Bloody love Darwin Núñez I do. Fast. Strong. Good in the air. Good shot. Right foot. Left foot. Can beat a man easily. Works hard. Puts himself about. Very fast indeed. Unselfish. Happy to assist others.
There’s a hell of a lot to like.
Yes, he has missed some chances, but all the best do. To my eye he is going from strength to strength, and the whole team is on the up too. There’s more to come, from Darwin and from the team. I can’t wait to see it unfold.
Yeah, I read he has a goal contribution every 58 mins? Yet commentary today said he’s hit and miss.
The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
If he were more consistent, he could have a goal contribution every 27 minutes.
29 would be more mathematically harmonious.
But Nunez embodies chaos theory.
And you can tell Mo absolutely LOVES playing with Darwin!
Its not.
As in its a derogatory term.
Its not as recognisably derogatory as terminology used to denigrate other sectors in society. But for sufferers of mental illness to see these words used flippantly is stigmatising.
To be honest, this is a lonely crusade. I am done with it.
People can call Nunez whatever they like.
I’m certainly embarrassed, firstly because of my choice of words - for reasons which @Quicksand has pointed out aren’t very nice - and secondly because I totally misunderstood the footballer. That’s OK. We’re allowed to cringe at our own previous opinions.
But that is not why I’m pissed off at you. I’m pissed off at you because you totally missed the point of what I was saying, and used your own misunderstanding as the basis of an attack on me.
Yes you did. And never anywhere in our posts did we say we were talking about the small number of people in this forum. My own post was in response to a tweet saying something ignorant like ‘he runs on the pitch thinking about cats, and then kicks the ball about’. I am clearly talking about a broader narrative about him. Which, I think is a perfectly reasonable thing to talk about in Nunez’s thread.
Can we not have a moan about Mo Salah having a reputation for diving, because no-one here thinks he does?
Or maybe we should say no more bringing in information from other sources to discuss. No more tweets, media articles, you tube videos. Let’s make this forum a completely closed shop where the only thing we discuss is stuff that we’ve generated ourselves?
I think the ‘chaos’ thing is fair. Not his ability. More that he seems to bring energy, havoc, fear (hard to find the right adjective) to the opposition and the game. Similar to Suarez in that regard. And it feels visceral in the crowd.
Think we can all agree that he’s brilliant and we’re glad that he’s ours!
I just see chaos.
Chaos is good.
If you could show me where I have attacked anybody, that would be helpful.
Ooh that’s deep.
Nah your comment just made me think of GoT and I had to search for the quote
Wow! Lot of handbags at dawn going in here.
Deflated now. I liked all the mystery beforehand.
Ah well Darwin Nunez with a beard
