Playing for the best team in the PL, and £150k per week, isn’t enough. He needs pats and hugs to perform
Obviously, yes.
He’s still human. Iirc he had to deactivate his social media on multiple occasions owing to death threats from the terminally online “fans” and Egyptian fans anytime he didn’t score/assist Salah. Nothing wrong with being the kind of person who performs best on positive feedback and a gentler touch. He had that with one manager, but not with the other. As such it makes sense for him to leave.
13 goals and 3 assists of those stats came before Christmas that season. The drop off started before Klopp left.
Ornstein giving Indykalia props (not to do with this transfer) @Walshy07 might be right about him becoming useful
Having said that …
So based on that selection of symbols resembling the Ed Sheeran shirt sponsorship logo is that a hint Nunez is now signing for Ipswich?

I’ve seen it as well… lots of speculations that Indy might be just a famous alias

“An important sale for #LFC, who are still working on a move for Alexander Isak and also want to sign a top winger.”
Isak, Barcola, Guehi.
Scenes!
Barcola, Gakpo, Salah and young Rio as the wide options, Isak and Ekitike as strikers, Wirtz and Szobo for AM - think I could get on board with that forward line
Well our net spend is down to about £50
I don’t think Slot wants to play any defenders. He’s going full on 1920s football where you had a goalie and a sweeper.
I wonder if we can get Woodbine ciggies to sponsor the kits?
Move over Standard Chartered.
I do hope he pushes on and returns to Europe revivalitised most of the younger stars who go tend to within 12 months.
There’s a part of me that wonders if Nunez’s tenure here would have gone differently if he hadn’t gotten baited by Joachim Anderson into that straight red in his first season here. Just an inauspicious start to his time here.
Nar. I think maybe you might be able to find something like for someone like Robbie Keane, someone who just never really got going here. But Darwin had loads of those “I think this is where he’s going to kick start his liverpool career” moments. He could just never build on them or sustain them and by the second half of his first season with a new manager who didn’t bring him to the club he looked increasingly lost trying to figure out how to meet Slot’s expectations.
If Klopp had stayed maybe hed have done enough to keep muddling through with performances effective enough to keep around but not consistent enough to make fans really be confident. But ultimately it just never quite clicked.
I hoped it was that last year after the 2 late goals against Brentford but the remainder of the season was just very uncomfortable to watch from him.
Love Darwizzy for his effort and attitude, wish him every success for the future but have to say this picture did make me laugh.
Darwin Nunez wearing a shirt saying Savvy - definition ‘having or showing perception, comprehension, or shrewdness especially in practical matters’. Erm … Maybe Chaos Cards could take over as a more fitting sponsor
