Damn right. Although Nunez is reportedly signing a 5 year deal to 2027. For safety’s sake, Klopp should probably extend again for another year.
If he isn’t a flop ergo he will justify his price tag. So I’m not sure what the problem is.
I guess there isn’t one then. You’re right, It’s all or nothing. And again, not sure where “problem” ever entered the dialogue.
It was back where you said you’d cooled on Nunez and didn’t want us to pay $80m
What about the impact a high fee will have on the remaining business we may want to do? Sure, Nunez may not flop but if his high cost prevents us from signing Bellingham and City get him and we never win anything again despite Nunez scoring 40 goals a season…then…?
Go on…

That’s a….”problem”?

Klopptimist’s law, the number of gifs in a transfer thread is inversely proportional to the amount of concrete news.
This “not my money” attitude is horrible though…
As a part owner of a business, if any of my staff thought that way I would have them replaced in a second.
Reckless spending will always have a downside. If he flops or turns out to be an injury case, you would hope we have the funds to take corrective action, no?
Or that ticket prices stay the same… Or that we can strengthen another area. Or that maybe we don’t contribute to pushing already high player prices up even higher.
Is this the first signing without Michael Edwards?
Fucking hell. Everyone calm down. It’s been a nice night. We’ve all had a few etc.
On the fee, I don’t think it’s that high. £64m quid for one of the most coveted strikers on the market. What would Haaland cost if he hadn’t negotiated that release clause?
We’ve earned the right to spend this money. It’s four years of relative frugality, plus success, plus we’re going to claw a lot of it back on sales.
And also, I suspect if you got a chance to ask FSG they would say that it isn’t the fees that are the problem, it’s the wages. I think swapping Mane (who would need to be put on £250-300k a week to keep him) for a young lad who will cost a bit more than we’ll get for Sadio, but be on 90k a week is an absolute no brainer financially.

speak for yourself, I’m still at work!
Almeria’s owner - they get 20% of the transfer fee. Safe to say its done
But we’re not part owners of this business (I own 2) so it stands. No, we don’t want the club to be reckless but only because we want stable and sustainable continuity. The idea of FSG spending recklessly though would be at odds with all former conduct. They’ve proven they will spend the money on the right player. I appreciate the word “right” in that sentence is doing the heavy lifting. Liverpool FC mismanaging it’s budget but carrying on in as successful a manner as it has adversely affects us not one jot. But we don’t and we do so we very happy And we’re winning the transfer window and that matters so very much
Another part of the reason the transfer fee is so high.
Nunez not in Uruguay, flying to liverpool
diego jokas
So…when do people think this might get announced?
Early that, usually like a nice evening time slot. Prime time 8 o’clock in about two or three days
Am I the messiah?

I hope the transfer falls through at that 80 + 20 price. No thanks.
