Let’s do a little comparison with Haaland. If Nunez flops, we will have to find a suitor willing to pay €115k/£98k/wk and take a hit on the transfer fee.
If Haaland flops, they are stuck with a player on +£500k and the only club capable of taking of there hands is now out of the running after extending their players contact for £800k/wk.
A high few is a risk. But the low wage helps mitigate that risk.

Reasons to be optimistic and hopeful, but also cautious as well in that we’re buying someone we expect to grow with us rather than a ready-made world star, and someone who tactically is a bit different to what we’ve had in recent years.

Does anyone feel this is a big move for the club, like a change of guards type of thing? He’s very different to what we have, assuming he’s being used as the striker. The fit doesn’t appear natural to me, especially the potential link with Salah.
I don’t mean it as a good or a bad thing, by the way. Just like an observation, as if we could maybe look back at this in a couple of years and talk about it as a type of crossrads move. As the domino signing for what became Klopp’s new team.
I could easily be overthinking this. He just seems so different and potentially transformative, if we think about the construction of the front six.
