True, and probably why he ended up at betis, but a club is more likely to take a punt on a player that might have an injury than one who will dick them around over their wages
They support other clubs, already tells you they arent that bright.
In Fekir’s case , it was a combination of his injury and his family member hankering for an increased price which led other clubs to take a hard pass on him after liverpool rejected.
For all intents , liverpool were okay to still take him forward despite the injury record. The family member wanting his share of money after all the terms had been agreed with his original agent was what pushed liverpool out.

Possibly, but i would think the bad knee story would be more damaging to the players prospects than his brother asking for more money.

Carroll was available for £1m 6 months earlier, iirc, then we went into desperation mode when we lost Torres and FSG, as new owners, felt they had to spend that money and placed themselves in the hands of Comolli. Their instinct was otherwise to wait until the summer but they felt under pressure to show intent in the transfer market.
Ah well.
Dalglish was definitely a fan of Carroll though.
