Lol, watching the clips I thought left. Transfer market has him right footed. All
those comps don’t show you the misses, obviously, but he’s so comfortable finishing with either foot
That is the piece I found interesting. It’s genuinely difficult to tell whether he’s left or right footed from most the vids.
Transfermarkt has him playing on the left doesnt it?
looks like he loves to go low & hard at the keeper’s outside peg too

Yes, sure does. But I thought he was a lefty watching the clips, but apparently he’s a righty. I was just trying to flip him over the the other side as Klopp likes to invert his wingers usually. But I guess he can stay on the left
BTW how good is Michael Edwards though.
Hear about a transfer target and 2 hours later they’re posing in a red shirt.
He is the transfer ninja
i like the idea that we didn’t move officially on jota until thiago was confirmed so we could cry poor to bayern
I’m loving our new signing and this sudden development (Jota) as well but it’s tempered by the fact that Jones and Minamino are probably going to be pushed down the pecking order if both come through. Jones especially was looking real good in the first-team minutes that he did get. Oh well it’s a great chance to learn from an established world-class mid…
If he would have played yesterday in the Carabao Cup would he be eligible to play against Lincoln for us next week?
No, he would have been ineligible.

FSG Out… hahaha remember those bellends
Reckon Minamino will be fine for minutes. Jota likely to be taking his from Origi and Ox in those wide areas.
Also suspect we’ll see the usual front three rotated and their minutes managed more this season given the packed schedule. They’ve all played a hell of a lot of minutes the past couple seasons because we haven’t had options of the calibre of Jota and Minamino.

I agree with this here. Jota gives another option that can play wide or in the middle - and one thing Klopp loves is players that can be multipurpose if needed.
Not only have Firmino, Mane and Salah played a lot of minutes in the past 2 seasons they are also getting a little older. This could also mean we make more of an attempt to win the League or FA Cup.
I’m expecting Minamino to have much more of a role/impact this year.
What saddens me is that it might mean that Ox is not really fully recovering and we might not see the same AOC that we once did.
Jota’s graph above… very impressive how he has made it look like the Wolves logo!
I’d have been impressed if he’d made it look like a liver bird. That’s what I’d call an adequate application for one of the best jobs in the world
Virgil’s the only one allowed to occupy the centre circle when we play. Please catch up.
I expect Jota to cost around 35m. But we are selling Hoever for around 10m. So that’s a net spend of 25m. Which is just fine as we have other players to sell on such as Wilson, Grujic, Brewster, etc.
The other good news is that since Jota is Portuguese, we don’t have to worry about AFCON sidelining too many of our senior forwards.
Sarr was touted for 40m, but you have to wonder if they were asking for more.
Other news coming out is that Jota is represented by same people as Fabinho so familiarity with that team may make bringing him into LFC a little easier.
Great news imo. Jota is only 23 so he has plenty of room for improvement and has already handled 2 full Premier League seasons with decent production for a winger.
Well, that escalated! Went to bed hoping to have the Thiago singing officially announced in the morning and wake up to a whole new thread for Jota. Great start to the weekend! Boom!
Haven’t watched much of him at all, apart from the game against Wolves last season.
Article on TIA states he is an alternative to Sarr. Is anyone of the opinion that Sarr could also be brought in, even if Jota is signed? Not taking into consideration player numbers, movement and costs.
Plenty of comments regarding Sarr’s ceiling etc. I think JK could make him an absolute star if he is willing to work and I really rate his blistering pace.

I don’t see us bringing in Sarr, at least not this summer. With Jota, we probably would have a full quota of forwards. Perhaps he might be viewed as a target again in future years but unless players are wanting to leave, we look like we have a squad that will require little change to be made for a year or two (unless we lose a major player, i now think next summer will be pretty quiet for us ?)
I never would’ve thought Wolves would be willing to sell him . He’s such an integral part for their offence. Jota is gonna be a great compliment to our forward line. With Taki, our forward line is covered. They all are great team players and Jota brings that Jack of all trades trait that will mesh perfectly with our group.
Excellent signing
