Divock Origi (FW) to Wolves

I will be really sad to see him go. But our time together has come to an end and a parting of the ways will do good to both the parties. Wolves and Atalanta (the rumored clubs) play good football.

Why would he be unavailable? As long as we can find room for him in our revised squad, which will be due before the next round of games, he will be available. I think the cup tie rule would only apply if Porto had made it through, which they didnt.

Diaz will be available for us in CL.

The regulations say you can register up to three new players for the knockout stages, the deadline is just after the window shuts.

Also, I think the cup tied thing ended in 2019-19, so even if we got Porto in the knockout stages (hypothetical I know) Diaz could still play for us against them.

The rules were changed for players being cup-tied after Barca complained in after signing Couts in the January window, they were not allowed to play him in the knock-out stages

Coutinho to Barca,

the gift that just keeps giving…

West ham being rejected time after time going after attacking players… could see them turning to Div or Minamino if they get desperate enough. I think Origi would do well for them.

He would do really well there. Don’t see them stumping up the 20 odd mil we want though. Their owners are notorious for consistently low balling and trying to shift fees into unreal bonuses. Its why they consistently struggled over the years for transfers, barring Moyes’ recent Czech excursions. If they came in for Div they’d offer 5 mil up front, 5 if he scores 17284 goals, 5 if they finish 2nd or 1st, and 5 if they win a septuple.

If they were truly after Raphina, they have some money to spend. Not exactly the same type of player, but it’s the end of the window and they want reinforcements in…

Well they had that buyout recently so they probably have funds to spend.

Please, NOT them . What happened to that Atalanta interest?

I’d love to see Origi in Burnley.

They just struck out on Mislav Orsic and are desperate for players. I’ve read Haris Seferovic but Origi would be 10x the player.

Burnley have brought in Wout Weghorst.

Yep. I posted about that also.

EDIT: they’re trying to add more attacking players in addition to.

One of the problem with getting players to go to Burnley is, and I put this as kindly as possible, it’s a godforsaken slagheap of a town that nobody in their right mind would want to live anywhere near.

I’ve never visited Burnley but I would like to someday if I get a chance. I’ve heard many stories and many interesting viewpoints.

Obviously the joke about their team has been how “white” they are and people call them Brexit FC. It’s been interesting to see them reaching out to new and different places to bring players in.

Maxwell Cornet was a great first step in the right direction. He’s been somewhat of a revelation for them but they need many new players to inject new life into the team.

As far as I know, Wout Weghorst is going from Wolfsburg to Burnley for €15m pending a medical.

Has to lookup slagheap  and then in Google maps where it is, looking at the pictures, it looks nice. :innocent:

Wow, £15M for Weghorst? Think Origi a better all around player than Wout. He’s tall, and decent in the air, no Luuk mind you, but Origi far more technical with the ball at his feet, and just as clinical a finisher.

Wout is a like for like replacement for Wood, IMO. Solid point man 9, but doesn’t give the flexibility in formation Divock does. Won’t be sad to see Dyche, and his tactics in the Championship where they belong
