Fabs has never been a pressing monster in that sense though. He has though been a very effective cog in a well coordinated pressing machine that works to funnel the ball into his orbit. The less they players ahead of him do to make the opposition’s play more predictable the bigger the orbit he needs and the easier he, or anyone, is to play around.

I feel like we need a proper exciting signing to raise everyone’s spirits before the new season. Mac was a great signing but this would be one from the very top drawer

Klopp loves the player. The player loves Klopp. The player admires Gerrard and Liverpool.
The price is high but not outrageous considering the fees we’re seeing elsewhere this summer.
Good relationship with RBL and player wants the move.

For that to happen we need some filthy dictator from a grubby oil country, who cares little about human rights or anyone in particular. As an old Liverpool fan from a working class background, that’s not the essence of our club. FSG are a business but a very well run business, since arriving they have progressed the stadium to new heights, won the league, employed the best Manager, and put Liverpool back on the world map. Sometimes we tend to bite the wrong hands. We could do way worse.
