He’s not coming. Then again he might. It all depends if Liverpool agree to pay.
One thing I think is sure is there won’t be any players involved. Just straight buying and selling with separate contacts and all.
Basically, he’s not coming.
Grow up
I’ve done that, it didn’t work!

I bet you are sat with your box of tissues and thats not to cry hoping he isn’t.
Aren’t we looking for 50 million for Quansah and around 40 million minimum for Elliott? These greedy Bayer guys will be sending Wirtz to Bayern next season for 50 million if we pull out from this. Think he will be in final year next season.
In which universe is Quansah worth more than Elliott?
Actually he isn’t. Just quoting based on the rumours that were surfacing.
This is just some kind of added tax because they are English ![]()
Think moving either of them will affect our homegrown quota. We won’t get better quality players who can contribute to the first team and at the same time fulfill the homegrown rule. Elliott from next year will be considered as homegrown i guess.
Strong hay fever this time of year so yes, always good to have a box of tissues close by.
Hopefully it is done soon. I was thinking it would be finalized before the nations league games. Chop chop!
If other players are coming into it, it gets more complicated. Like everyone says, that should be a separate deal, and they all have their own agency, so nothing is straightforward. We also don’t have bargain basement players at Liverpool that Leverkusen might try to scoop up. Elliott is a very good player indeed. So is Quansah. Both of them will have Premier League suitors, so Leverkusen will have to be competitive on the fee, just as they expect us to be competitive on the Wirtz fee.
We will get this done if one player does go there it will be one deal one way and one deal the other.
End of the day most of these journalists are filling dead air.
It’s way overrated, you made the right decision.
€150m is serious wedge.
Player swaps rarely happen and i dont see that happening here either.
My issue with the fee is that the pressure is immense, on both the player and the manager. If things don’t click from the off, then the media will be like rabid dogs.
Still, he is one of the very best young players in the world who has the ability to make us the dominant force in England and Europe for years.
Honestly don’t think we need to worry. We only had 15 non-homegrown listed last year anyway. Mamardashvili makes that 16 and Wirtz 17.
Kostas goes to make room for a left back, Nunez goes to make room for a striker. Chiesa or Endo could move on if we did need another non-homegrown spot.
Jaros, Quansah, Bradley, Gomez, Jones, Elliott and now Frimpong. It’s not a group you’d want to be losing more than one more from but you could maybe do two at a push and I’m assuming Morton has gone at this point . You’d still have the likes of Bajcetic, McConnell, Nyoni, Danns, Koumas, Doak, Ngumoha as U21 options.
It’s certainly worth keeping an eye on and why if certain players did move on this summer I’d expect the likes of Gordon, Branthwaite, Guehi, Gittens, Dibbling, Wharton to be on the radar depending on who it was who went.
These deals rarely happen together but one going one for a fee and one going another way for another fee is usually the case.
