Don’t understand why he’s still here tbh as he doesn’t suit us in any way.
Derby or Cardiff tomorrow.
Ojo is already at Cardiff, interesting. Maybe they’d want Wilson playing centrally behind the striker? What formation do they play?
This season they’ve been mainly playing a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Joe Ralls or Lee Tomlin in the center behind the striker Kieffer Moore, they could be after Wilson to play on the right in the 3 as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who played that role mysteriously got sacked and kicked out of the club at the start of the season for breaching club rules,so they are an attacking midfielder short atm.
Harris tends to switch the 3 around all the time, with Hoilett mostly on the left with Murphy and Ojo taking it in turns to cover him or play left or right,i’d imagine Wilson could be used in all of the 3 positions if needed.
So Wilson is going to Cardiff on loan then, as reported by SSN. Bit more info - £1.2m coming our way for him.
LIVERPOOL-CARDIFF AGREE WILSON LOAN FEE
Liverpool have agreed a £1.2m loan fee with Cardiff for Harry Wilson after they beat off strong interest from Swansea, as well as interest from Forest, Derby and Norwich.
Neil Harris was relentless in his pursuit of Wilson and was backed up by chairman Mehmet Dalman.
The loan of Marko Grujic to Cardiff helped them win promotion to the Premier League and with much of the same squad remaining, there is a strong belief that with the help of Wilson they can do similar again.
Pretty poor financial return. Lets hope he gets lots of game time and we have a few suitors next summer and get a decent fee. But Mascot may be right and we will look back and think we should have taken the 12m + add ons that was on the table.
Edwards out.
This £12m offer was from Burnley…
…maybe it was rejected because Harry Wilson didn’t want to play for Burnley and the club respects the players’ wishes. Can’t force the lad to Burnley at the end of the day.
Kind of wish he could stay and make it here. Prefer limited squad players being club developed than bought in if possible. But realistically unless his game changes dramatically he’s just a bad fit for us and he’s also probably never quite going to be the required quality to be useful at our level. Just wish he could develop certain aspects of his game so he could be of use. Unlikely unfortunately. Good loan season and he could have some good suitors next year from mid table prem sides. That would probably end up being the best thing for everyone involved.
Hope they have to buy him if they get promoted.
Wilson would never make it at Liverpool - otherwise Klopp would have give a hint for that a long time ago.
No shame in ‘ not making it at liverpool’
Wish I could tell my kids about the time I nearly played for the greatest team in the world.
Best of luck Harry

Agree. £12 million plus add ons was a good deal. We’ve sold well recently but were a bit greedy here. Pearce said he wanted to go to Burnley. We just couldn’t agree a fee. Just hope he has a good season at Cardiff because we’re unlikely to get another offer like that again.
You’re a bluebird Harry…
Wasn’t meant to be disrespectful towards Harry but I’m not seeing a potential PL player in him.
Think he could disappear like Ibe or Sinclair.
Problem with Wilson is also that he is less suited to our football than Origi and Shaqiri.
Yeah probably was having a go at myself more than you.
Sometimes you have to check yourself.
Imagine only being good enough at football that you couldn’t make it at Liverpool, and had to settle for a different club…
So, it’s Cardiff then? Meh.
It’s clear now that Klopp and co don’t see him as a PL player, at least not for us. It’s all the more puzzling why they didn’t accept Burnley’s offer then…
Anyway, all the best to the lad, he’ll surely do well in the Championship, as he did two years ago already.
Think this is unfair. Sinclair was just greedy, wanted it now as he was instead of developing more and getting it later when he was better ready for it. Short termism he was too impatient and still really young but who knows he may never have got good enough and he might have made the best financial move he could have ever had open to him in his career. Ibe perfectly fit style wise, something that helped mask his limitations and got us a big fee for him. He was just nowhere near good enough in terms of quality for where we were let alone where we are now. Wilson has quality, already seems to be a much higher level than either of those two. As he is now he might be a starting player in clubs that yo yo a bit between Championship and Premiership being a stand out player in Champ and not embarrass himself in Prem. Or he could be a squad option mid prem. But he could yet develop more and be an option for a Spurs, Arsenal or Leicester style team. It’s his style of play and tactical fit that is more a problem here than his quality.
Nothing wrong with telling Burnley to fuck off and taking less elsewhere,Harry doesn’t come across as a snide horrible cunt so we saved him from that.
probably has better work ethic than Ibe
