You know, I’ll actually be following Leverkusen’s results with interest - imagine Ten Hag getting them to play effective, fluid, front-foot football while consistently finishing in CL spots (I doubt they’ll get to compete for the title soon if I’m honest, not with all the cherry-picking of their top players).
Quansah is tailor-made for that sort of football but he’ll have to work on his self-confidence first and cutting out mistakes from his game. I hope that Liverpool will insert a buy-back clause or something like that because I wouldn’t want to give up on him that easily.
I find it interesting that last season we scored 2 OGs by virgil blasting the ball off one of our players and it rebounding into the net. in both cases the other player got the abuse despite being helpless to do anything about it. And in both cases there is now a very real chance they are not here next season.
Virgil is like the grim reaper, just blasting the ball into players he doesnt want to be here anymore.
Great to have a clause like that, I have less issues with selling players like Quansah if there’s the possibility of getting them back if they do well. Hopefully we do similar with Elliott (assuming he goes)
There’s every chance that Quansah can improve and iron out his mistakes. In which case, Another English team might be willing to bid sizable amounts for him.
Agree, gives the lad time to develop and if he does we can get him back.
Gives him that chance if he likes playing here he wont have any dramas with that.
Looks like Quansah is out to Leverkusan and we’ll move quickly to replace him. Guehi appears to be our replacement target. That’s gonna be a nice upgrade.
