Do “relevant” and “appropriate” mean the same as “permissible” to you?
Like what the hell kind of response is that? I didn’t say you should be banned for it. It’s just big time weirdo behavior to wade into the middle of a conversation and start talking about things that are only obliquely related to the discussion taking place. I mean, would you act like this in real life too? No one in the Jordan Henderson transfer thread fucking cares what crimes you think should receive the death penalty.
So in a discussion in a pub you expect every comment from every participant to be 100% on the topic in hand? Were you sick the day they did tangents in your school?
FFS. Some people really take things too seriously.
I suggest the creation of an “Opinion on death penalty” thread in the relevant part of the forum.
So every time someone has an urge to share their point of view about it, they could do so without derailing the current one. But please DON’T talk about Henderson there.
Much of what is going on around this club now in regards to KSA disgusts me to the core and shatters all flimsy illusions and any romantic notions, but I can’t do anything about it anyway.
But I never thought Liverpool FC would be among the first clubs to do this and it really disturbs me how there is so little fan outrage (not just talking about this forum, but around the club, old fans). It’s just a few individuals, the masses seem content and even happy that we are talking good money and so on. Very strange, considering Liverpool’s history. I wonder if the Premier League alone has done this much damage to the club soul, so much that this is almost normalised and people just shrug at it, thinking “oh, well, it’s not ideal I guess, but we need to sell and the money is good”. Heartbreaking to see this happen to any club of tradition, but this is the club I chose to love.
And Henderson. Well, it is his choice. But one does not have to love him or respect him for it. Sometimes, love can fade for various reasons.
