Any club who pays a penny more than 30m for Grealish ought to be handed automatic relegation.

Besides, their next set of accounts will show massive profits on player sales, so they will be able to “legally” buy any player they want.

Haha, I think because there is so much public scrutiny on City and FFP they have to now play within the rules around player purchasing.

Whilst I don’t condone players picking up that kind of wage every week doing fuck all, on this occasion I do believe City should be left to rot in their own filthy slimy scummy plasticky grummy mucky abhorrenty sleazy mess.

He can be normal and not only driven by money and still not end up here. Dortmund will also have their part to play in which offers they accept. Plenty of things to happen in the remaining of the season, we have to see what we even achieve and then who are other real interested parties, what do Dortmund even achieve (which can vary these days), what do they want, who is ready to pay that, etc.

Sold to Montevideo City Torque for half a billion,
On a million a week contract

Job done!

I am looking forward to a disgruntled player taking Man City down at some point. Arguably it won’t happen because they would also be incriminating themselves, but I am imagining a tax investigation into one of them, where they do some sort of plea deal - tell us the truth and it is a slap on the wrist - and then it comes out, clearly for all to see.

Yes, I was paid x amount, and that’s what was declared. But I was also paid y amount through other back channels. It was common practice at the club.

Ideally the lid will also be lifted on the transfer fees they receive when selling players. Too many are sold for too high of a price. I can’t help but feel they are supplementing the buying club, to make their own accounts look better for further player acquisitions.

Buy them first time.
‘Buy’ them again, at least partially, when selling!
Make the books look good.
Buy more players.

It’s a joke of a club.

They will be in for Bellingham, and so will Newcastle. The latter will be much more dangerous to us right now if they make this season’s CL. Then Newcastle can really put the hammer down and go for the likes of Bellingham and whoever else they fancy.

It is vital we make CL and bump them out, if only to help ourselves in the team rebuild we are doing.

Love the way he pronounces the names, Belling-HAM didn’t seem so sure on that last question.

This thread will be hilarious to read back when he joins city or Madrid.

I wouldn`t find it hilarious missing out on a talent like Bellingham

Do you see us forking out over £100m+ for him?

Gonna be even funnier when we announce Mbappe a week later.

Bellingham = £80m + Keita = :+1:

We don’t have to.
A deal was already done in the Summer.

Job done.

There is a price for everything, but there was a BIG premium on Jude this past summer because of the key players Dortmund had already lost. Yes they are now a selling club, but they’re no an idiot club content to put shit side on the pitch just because they’ve got money in their pockets. They will sell, but they will try to do it in an organized fashion that allows them to plan for the transitions. For this season they already knew they would be having to go into it without two key players in Halaand and Witsel and so were relying on Bellingham, already a key player, to help pull their remaining pieces together. There absolutely would have been a price to make it happen, but given the premium for it being the wrong sporting move for them, is that any less than the one we’re going to have to pay a year later, a time when he’s more known (is he though? Didnt everyone already know he was excellent? Has anyone actually had their eyes opened by this world cup?) but more congruent with Dortmund’s sporting strategy?

I just dont get why a club that was been so good and so firm in operating in this area of the organization are being presented as some shy virgin standing on the other side of the dance floor from their crush too intimidated to even make eye contact.

No it isn’t :face_vomiting:

Did you expect us to cough up the money for Núñez…
