Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid)

May your words be proven right, I for one won’t complain!

Vinicius is an unlikeable diving cunt and Mbappe has his head so far up his rear end that he thinks that the sun rises and sets with him.

No contest.

Unfortunately RA, the best of players are usually also the most cocky and arrogant whether that be on the pitch or off it.

Wait till Jude wins his first major honour.

Easy, Mbappe.

Never gonna happen though.

Course it can, Like Jude there’s only 2 clubs he can move to at this point in his career.

Jude is different. More of a chance. But still gonna be hard.

I dunno why anyone has to post that we won’t get him and crap on others posting.

We frankly don’t know if he doesn’t come then so be it, if he does great.

It’s all in Jude’s hands as far as I’m concerned. If he wants to come here, he will come here.

We can all have a stab at what we think motivates him - whether the £ will ultimately be top of his priority list when the chips are down and its time to make his decision, we will have to wait and see. The one thing that would probably rule us out would be missing out on the CL.

I really hope post WC/close of the transfer window, all focus turns to the current squad and run in to the end of the season, and we can all forget about Jude for a few months as he closes the season out at Dortmund.

Then we can look forward to the lean.

I’d give one of my nuts for one of these early announcements - just get a line drawn under it - but that’s unrealistic i know.

what kills me is bidding £125mil for a player and getting him, signing to a 5yr contract

5 yrs later…walks on a free to Real Madrid at 24-25yo.

it’s a shitty trend we’re seeing.

Shitty trends started with players being bought and sold for millions and being paid obscene wages.

It is what it is.

I bet he signs a 6 or 7 year contract. Clubs seem to be hedging against this these days.

I’ll actually amend what I wrote above. Paying £ 100m for a 19-years-old, albeit a talented one, is absolute madness. I hope and think that we will swerve this trap. For this insane amount, we can get more or less ten players in the Harvey Elliot or Carvalho bracket, isn’t it?

This move won’t happen as long as fsg are around, I’m sure of it now. Unless the club is taken over by a sports-washing group with bottomless pockets of blood money, sanity will prevail.

but you can only field 11 players at the time, and a team of Elliot/Carvalho-level players aren’t going to win you silverware (assuming that’s the goal…)

My personal theory is that it’s expectations management by those people.

Same tendency that leads them to crap on anyone who doesn’t believe that we won’t make top 4, or can’t be in the mix for the title. Or crap on our players prematurely.

Can’t be disappointed if your expectations are already rock-bottom, and anyone who says something contrary to those expectations need to be shut down immediately.

Who would want to play Fraudiola type boring arse football tactics when ya can join the Red Arrows :0)

Personally I’d still say he probably won’t but I know nothing and so I’ll wait and see.

Say what you want about their club but they play top football. Plus they win a lot of trophies. That aside, we should absolutely be in contention for him and stand a good chance. Question is whether the money will be there.

Frankly, I don’t care about rumours, I read them for amusement. I don’t think anyone has the inside scoop on our club.

If we get him, that’s great. If we don’t, it’s probably just because money talks more than anything else. I’m leaning towards the @Mascot view that if he wants us, we’ll get him. But if he doesn’t, then it speaks volumes about what his values are, I think.

That’s neither here nor there. Money will always be a factor. There will be a going rate so to speak, and he’ll want to paid fairly, accustom to how good a player he is and how others similarly are paid.

Believing he will sacrifice X amount over romanticism for Liverpool is a little naive. Or the notion about his values. Not suggesting whoever pays the highest will win, but there’s a certain balance there.
