Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid)

Yes there are one or 2 that push my buttons but I ignore what they say, mostly

Those quotes are still giving me hope hope the lad can choose us.

Jude Bellingham chose not to sign for Manchester United back in 2020 despite the club using star figures and twice as much money to try and convince him.

Bellingham moved from Birmingham to Dortmund in a £20m deal two years ago and Blues chief executive Dong Ren has discussed why the English midfielder picked the German club over United.

“United made the biggest offer we received compared to Bayern, Dortmund, Leicester or other clubs like Wolves. Ed Woodward was the most insistent,” Ren told Mundo Deportivo.

“We sat down and talked about how we could convince Bellingham. But Jude didn’t make any decisions based on money.

“They offered much more salary compared to the rest. Maybe double. He was going to have guaranteed millions in the bank and he did not take them. That’s not normal for a player at all.

“He sat down with [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer, until Woodward brought [Sir Alex] Ferguson that day, another day to [Eric] Cantona, to try to convince him.

“He chose Dortmund over Bayern despite not being sure to win titles and money. He put all that behind his development. How many players would do that?

“Because nothing is guaranteed at Dortmund. It might not have turned out well.”

Bellingham is being advised by his parents well. I think the important thing is how ably Liverpool are able to demonstrate that they would be building the future around him. They’ve already made moves in that regard with signing of Elliot/Carvalho and with Bajcetic coming up, If LFC shows Bellingham that there’s a space for him to come and then be a midfield lynchpin especially when Hendo goes with good future prospects around him in 2-3 years time , We will get him in.

It’s not always about the pay package , It’s about the total package in itself. The signing of Caicedo for instance would go a long way in making that happen.

Judging by last night’s performance, he’s already gone.

game before that one, thought he was the best player on the field, so…

He’s definitely in the don’t play him twice a week territory already.

Key part in this post are the words…

“He sat down with [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer,"

Hehehe Ole’s at the wheel, at the wheel, Ole’s at the wheel…

I think it was a mistake in the text…it was “He sat down on [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer," and finally left as he felt it was rude that the manager could not even bother to turn up…

Will Jude’s father/parents guide be a strong enough deterrent to stop him going to Madrid? Probably not but time will tell.

Doesn’t that also depend on whether he himself actually wants to go to Madrid?

Seems it is done and dusted,His father likes Liverpool so that is that…If only it were so easy!.
At the end of the day ,if the stories that money isn’t his god are true, although his agent might be thinking about his hip pocket nerve,Jude will go where he wants,as long as that is here,I’m fine with that!

I’ve learned not to trust anything about Madrid or Barca that comes out of the Spanish Press.

I think Jude is very far down the line with us, and Real Madrid are using the Spanish press, as they do, to pile the pressure on and try to negotiate. In a way it’s nice to see, because they know they aren’t in the driving seat.

Hope we get a deal done now with Dortmond and the player to join in the summer and then knowing the financials we move for another midfielder in Jan
