I donât believe that, it is the same comment attributed to Nice as soon as we were linked to him even before the transfer window opened. I saw that was reprinted by the Echo of all people as long as it is not Paul Gorst donât believe that rubbish.
Itâs like nobody has ever taken part in a negotiation.
Basically itâsâŚ
âLiverpool dealt blow by club who has player contracted to them who want to keep himâ.
Clearly that fact came out of nowhere and has caught our transfer team completely off guard. Iâm so disappointed we are now spinning around with no plan B or idea what to try to do next. Years of careful scouting and planning down the drainâŚ
And you know this how? Do you have an earpiece into the boardroom?
Your irony detector appears to be malfunctioning.
Rudy canât fail
Everytime Rudy nips in for a lager with one of his old mates⌠It gets reported in the press LFC are interested in a new player :0)
Great song

There was always something that didnât âfeelâ right about Thuram as a signing so not surprised that it turns out to be another player. I donât expect us to return to this one.
I get the impression we had an âAâ list- players like Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, etc and then a âBâ list of younger players like Thuram in case the âAâ targets werenât done.
This is my view, Szoboszlai is clearly a direct slot in for the Henderson position in TrentBall so points to that being our tactical set up next season.
This means the need for what we need for our no.6 is vastly different than the single defensive pivot of old as we are playing 2-2 box with Trent as one side of that.
I think Thuram is our 3rd midfielder to come in, and Lavia is the back up to him.
You also need to remember we are targetting a left sided center back like Colwill, this means we are basically playing a 3223 and the defensive need of the left sided no.6 is more about getting up and down the pitch and closing space, rather than being a tackle monster.
World classâŚ
watch the home-grown quota, will we not be over the required foreign quota unless we release a player. thats why lavia would make more sense as he would count as home-grown
I think if the opportunity presents itself for a younger midfielder after the Szoboszlai deal , We might well take it. If only to get someone in earlier and get the bedding in period done when Fabinho / Thiago do leave next year. It might well be Thuram or any other player.
Whereâs Robbo ?
Think what might be likely is that Szoboszlai was more in the Mount stylistical bracket. Thuramâs prince range was getting higher than we expected. So we decided to shift back to something stylistically different to Thuram, but a player we judge higher than Mount, when we put together the financial package (fee & wages) and player ceiling.
Robbo was poor last season, heâd be rotating with Colwill for the left sided center back position but primarily playing against weaker teams as he can get forward more.
