Reminds me of the classic Jimmy Tarbuck joke:

Man walks into an Indian restaurant and browses the menu. Chooses his starter, curry, rice… but cannot decide on which side dish to have. He calls the waiter over and asks:

It rings true. We used to get fed up of eating Asian food and would ask our mums to cook English which were foods like Shepherds pie, fisherman’s pie, roast lamb/chicken, Lancashire hotpot etc.
When we were little, we hated Asian food. We lived on baked beans, eggs, fish fingers and any birds eye frozen products from Budgen.
