Liverpool vs Real Madrid, Champions League Final @ Stade de France, 8pm in the UK [7pm GMT]

The grass has been specially grown to benefit Spanish football boots.

No pic of Thiago.

Edit: hold on, this article is from yesterday, not from today. :+1:

All that Mané talk is a distraction, really not optimistic about this one.

From what I have seen from the Mane quotes, it reads to me like he has signed a long term deal with us.

I can see Mane as either way, from reading the quotes. Guess we will know soon enough.

I didn’t see the special part earlier. Having just read the quotes again, I think he has signed a new deal. I will be surprised if he’s off. And there’s nothing special about winding your deal down.

He’s winning the CL and then announcing a new deal with us.

These combined XIs are cruel. I like Casemiro over Fabinho, though. :speak_no_evil:

3rd pic in, VVD with Matip and Gomez.

We’re going with a back 3?

It has crossed my mind that Klopp could deploy Gomez to nullify Vinicius, but I very much doubt that. Whilst it’s the obvious tactic for Madrid to get him in in behind Trent, I’d be happy to back the best right back in the world in that contest.

With the 5 subs Klopp has more options if things are not working, after watching Real get past the Chavs and shitty they didn’t play very well but spent large parts of them games containing both sides and then deciding to play football when they needed too.

@Aurelio Yeah, it’s not a Klopp thing to do that, compromising in that way. He’ll want his best players on the pitch, playing the way they’re used to. I think he’ll rather solve it collectively than with a specific individual matchup. It’ll probably be more about pressing their midfield and staying compact, so they find it difficult to set up Vinicius.

I guess both teams will look to their left winger when they can. We’ll need Trent to get Diaz in behind or 1v1 with Carvajal as often as possible. Of course, Real will probably play Valverde on the right flank to help counter this.

I’d still fly the squad and staff on two planes, 1/2 and 1/2.
