I wouldn’t have thought our Mac Allister would be starting this one but it would be fun to get both brothers on together.

Going to the game on Thu evening.
Looking forward to an exciting victory with plenty of goals for us and no injuries.

Are you related to Barry Sith aka @Sithbare?

Enjoy mate, @moderators thought of merch for match going fans?

“Smash them, they’re shit” emblazoned over a heap of peaches would be epic

My preferred line up for this game :
Kelleher
Trent/Gomez Matip Quansah Tsimikas
Gravenberch/Elliott Endo Jones
Doak Jota Nunez/Diaz
Basically Trent (start)/ Gomez (sub)
Subs : Mac, Szoboszlai, Virgil, Robbo, Gomez, Elliott, Diaz, Alisson, Mo
Should be good enough to get the job done 3-0

The funny thing about complacency is that it seems impossible for most to learn from experience to avoid it.

Would start KonatĂ© and van Dijk in center. Both have not played too much. Gravenberch in midfield and NĂșñes as our 9 with Jota on the wing.

The talk of complacency is misguided, just as it was before the first group game. Putting out our strongest side this early in this competition is not worth it.

This is low quality opposition and we can afford to not win 3 or 4 games and still qualify. We will be picking a much changed side, just as we did against LASK.

Save Salah, Nunez etc for the bench. They can do 25 if we need it.

Especially with Gapko out and Jota suspended
we must wrap Darwin, Mo and Diaz in cotton wool for the next couple of weeks and use them only as absolutely needed.

Easier said than done with the internationals coming up

Only more reason to not play them in a game where losing has pretty much zero material impact to our season

Finish second in the group it could.

I wouldn’t play Salah anyhow same goes for Dom

I’m not saying we should play our strongest team, but expecting an easy 3-0 with a team full of reserves isn’t helpful. For the opposition it’s probably the biggest game most of them will ever play in, so we can expect them to give their utmost. Our team will be unused to playing together and may take time to gel. We’ve seen all this before.
Yes, we’ll probably win, and maybe easily, but the worst thing we can do is be complacent.

It’s just a poster giving their opinion on here, complacency doesn’t come in to it.

Kelleher
Gomez Konate Quansah Tsimikas
Grevanberch Endo Jones
Doak Jota Elliott

Bajcetic could potentially come in at RB for Gomez if he is fit, to give Gomez a rest. Maybe some space in the squad for one or two of the likes of Luke Chambers but it’ll probably be a strong bench.

Maybe swap Elliott and Jones?

Left wing is a concern.
