Losing the midriff "wobble" or the TAN diet/exercise thread

Absolutely
And the knock off, unlicensed or uncertified alternatives will lead to problems.

The other downside, and apologies to anyone using these drugs…
There hasn’t bern enough time to test long term efficacy for maintenance of weight loss. Cessation and return to previous lifestyle may be difficult.

I truly hope that these drugs help with clinical obesity.

Ordered my 2nd lot yesterday, its been reviewed and will be delivered by 5th at very latest.
No idea why anyone would want to put a knock off version into their body!

People will do crazy stuff if they think its an easy fix, a short cut or in some instances a considered norm to reach an end goal. For example steroids, growth hormone in body building, blood doping, epo in endurance sports and synthol, again in body building. And thats before we get to the fad diets and supplement side of things. (Note to self, partially guilty here).

You can even look at surgery for body enhancement.

Its not really about health anymore in many cases

Physio told me I had to lose weight to help fix my knee tendinopathy. It started out well, then I got Covid and gave myself grace for not being able to exercise. Starting out again from scratch today. Got to start building that good days streak. It’s worked for me before.

Sometimes its cost. Cheaper spurious products are available…

Best of luck, I’m having a few days off. I’m tired. Last week was a decent exercise week culminating in 2 kitesurf sessions, Thursday evening and Saturday. I then spent a frustrating day on the roof of our extension starting to replace the ridge tiles. Up and down ladders all day.

Diet is my main issue and perhaps others can relate to it. End of the day, I’m tired mentally. I’ll get home, have 5 minutes, get changed and then it’s cooking and prep food for tomorrow. Despite being sensible all day food wise, I can lose all sense at this time and bury far too much. Rinse and repeat the day after. It’s a cycle I want and need to break.

Speaking of cycles, I’m in full on ADHD procrastination mode over buying a bike. WilI use it enough? can I afford it with upcoming bills? is it it worth the money? Is this an impulse buy I need to resist? But a 10m kite would also be handy…

So 4th jab last night to begin week 4. New pen arrived yesterday.

Weight loss this week 2Ibs 3/4 ounces - so thats 3/4 ounces over a stone (14Ibs 3/4 ounces or 6.65Kg)) in 3 weeks.

Im glad its not such dramatic weight loss as losing 9 to 10Ibs each week like the first week would be quite worrying.

Slow and steady wins the race as they say.

Its just nice going to the wardrobe knowing 95% of my wardrobe now fits or if a bit too tight it will be wearable in a week / fortnight.

For excerise I want to dig out my bike but its just been too hot to move this week bar Weds and I was in the office that day so knackered once in. How did we do that 5 days a week!

Gonna be warm this week but hopefully Ill get a few rides in.

Week 4…another 2.5Ibs lost

That’s 16Ibs 2oz in total and from 17st 2oz to 15st 13Ibs.

I also bought a pack of syringes and managed to get the “Golden shot” out of the pen and it was simple enough. Means the pen will last for 5 weeks now and not 4.
Start new pen next week.
No side effects other than mouth is dry so drinking a lot of water - but thats good thing.

I would say the only downside to this is - you don’t really enjoy your food any more. A few things I enjoy like a bit of steak or curry (but much smaller portions) But when it comes to run of the mill evening meals they are all bland. You just dont want them.

I’ve found that the best time for a work out was first thing in the morning. Have to wake up extra early and make time for it. Although, unfortunately my schedule forces me to do it at the end of the day these days. Feel like I’m not able to reach my full potential as I’m less energetic by then and I don’t look forward to it compared to early mornings, but better than nothing I suppose.

I used to go out on my bike before waking up the kids for school. Ok in the spring and autumn, winter it’s too cold even during the day, summer there’s no school, so end up twiddling my thumbs and here it’s too hot even in the mornings during August. Even though it’s the best solution on the whole.

Some days there is a bit of walking involved but as best i can i try for a 5k jog 5 days a week.Takes me about 35 mins but less concerned about time than i used to be and just happy to be still able to get there no matter how long. For me it’s less about losing weight and more about trying to be more energetic with some breathing issues, although i could do with dropping a stone from the abdomen region .

Relapsed and had a shit food day again. Knee injury means I can’t go running for dona lot of hiit training that I used to get back to fitness last time. But I also have to lose the weight to actually fix the knee injury, but of a catch 22z

Personally I would give swimmign a serious consideration.

Especially if you have knee issues, the no impact and natural resistance of swimming will work a treat

Impressive, well worth considering for those that need to loose weight.
I’m following you closely Walshy finding this pretty interesting. Almost at the point of recommending it to my overweight acquaintances.

Its not only the weight…its how it makes me feel…I feel like a different person. Confidence is back. Low mood gone as is 3 years of covid brain fog. I can face anything heading my way.

if anyone wants to try then let me know and I have a 20% discount code for first order. Once used i get 20% off my next order.

Great to hear a success story like tyat @Walshy07. I should use it to give my own head a wobble and lose a few pounds again. I’ve crept back up to 85kg (from a 78-80kg) and while my fitness is very slowly improving some weight loss would do me the world of good.

I’m a bit apprehensive of it though, the process that is. Last time I reduce calorie intake to 1800 cal. Per day, massively upped my water intake, probably was a little too loose on my protein and potassium intake (too high for me) and basically ended up in a bout of hyperkalemia (blood potassium goes too high and its serious). Its taken me over a year to find a good spot diet wise to get that right again.

I really dont want to go through that again, especially when the process of weight loss releases stored potassium into your bloodstream.
