Luis DIAZ: 2023/24

Isn’t it something to do with cross country cooperation.

The borders between Venezuela and Colombia are pretty fluid to be honest. It’s bandit country. Venezuela is a mess financially. Corruption is rife in both countries. Most border towns are dangerous in Latin America.

But Columbia can’t enter without permission considering how high up this seems to be arranged at.

Hope to god these guys are just chancers looking for a few quid rather than some cartel type

Sorry to say this but at this point I doubt there is much hope. Father might already be dead and some people would still try to get some money by pretending he is alive.

Not to mention corruption by police and politicians in those parts of the world.

There seems to be a news blackout.
Horrible situation for Luis and his family.

What would be the point of the kidnappers killing him if their objective was a ransom?

If he is dead, hopefully this can be confirmed promptly so Luis can grieve and then get back to work next week.

That’s not funny.

No it’s serious. If he’s dead, Luis is better having this confirmed sooner rather than later. The limbo would be dreadful.

Nvm.

So if they are the kidnappers are the ask themselves :see_no_evil:

Being an expert in South American drug lords, cartels, and malitias, (having seen Narco’s ), I can confirm that this is not surprising. Often these organisations are actually made up of small groups that fall under an umbrella - the actions of one sub-group without the knowledge of leadership happens.

Well apparently they didn´t know that the kidnapped person is the father of “the Luiz Diaz”… a bit ridicolous tbf

You can say that again. :+1:

Let´s hope this is true
