The club can still use this as an option for Mo & Mane to reduce their salary demands. Granted that they aren’t asking for too much but the club showing that
“We’d like you to stay. These are our terms and lets discuss and find middle ground for agreements” allows the club some leverage as well instead of being arsenal and just folding to the players demands.
Still think Mane will be on the way out though… But atleast it allows the club to claim that they did offer improved terms to Mane.

We will never know on Klopp and those players but say with Markovic I’m not sure he even arrives at the club.

Another really good option up top which is more of a like for like option for our system.
Imagine Origi and Taki move on now.
Gordon has stepped up and can be an emergency option. But wow an embarrassment of riches uptop now nearly. Great competition for places now too. Think Salah and Jota pick themselves so Diaz v Mane for the LF role but now we rotate and two of Mane Diaz or Bobby from the bench or for a Cup game. Thats amazing depth even with Afcon considerations and I havent even mentioned Ox and Harvey.
Really excited to see what he can do.

The problem would be shifting Origi. Clubs weren’t interested in taking him during the summer, so what has he done so far this season to improve his saleability? Not a lot really.
