Major League Baseball

I always liked it slow
I never liked it fast
For you it’s got to go
For me it’s got to last…

I can read a chapter in a book between some pictchers.

Not this year, they have a “pitch clock”, game moves way quicker.

See, the pitch clock is anti-education.

That’s what I meant that’s what I used to be able too.

Rather a game moves on than that.

Any ideas?

“Lelashly” nah never heard of him.

How do the blackout zones work? I thought my area was in the Yankees blackout zone, but now I can’t watch the Muts vs Phils on MLB TV. I had the same when I tried to watch the Nets or the Knicks this last season.
I watched the first game of the series on Apple last eve.

NYC is 8+ hours away and the game tonight is in Philly, anyway.
Pretty sure I’m closer to Toronto, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and possibly Cincinnati.

The shady streams are on a twenty minute delay and I wanna see my Phils swinging for homers on 3-0 dirt balls in real time.

Anyone know any VPN that can get around this? I have Nord and Mullvad, but I suppose MLB TV can sniff those out.

They block out Sunday night Baseball over here in the UK (it’s on BT some reason that and no other game they show is blacked out).

Haven’t tuned into see if this afternoons game is blocked out on MLB TV last nights wasn’t but the BBC are showing it.

*Just check yeah it’s blocked out (hopefully means tonight isn’t).

I live near Buffalo, and as it’s technically in NY state, i am blacked out of all NY city teams streaming, good thing Toronto, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, are all much closer. Hell even Detroit is much closer.

I think it was probably down to Fox having the rights for it or something.

Yeah, I think that was it. I’m paying for so much shit I completely forget to check.

It is a bit shit to be fair.

That’s a good thing :+1:

Analysis on the home run Derby :joy:

It’s blokes just smashing the ball.

Three nights at the PNC. Early game today so we went down to the casino afterwards, ended up winning tickets in the Home Plate Club for the next three nights against Cleveland. Cracking ballpark. Gonna put this casino’s generosity to the test.

Six nights at the PNC, and I finally got to see a Pirates win.
I admire these supporters. Poor as their team is, they turned out in numbers every night, and after the win, they chanted “One and six!”, in a display of irony even rarer for Americans than a Pirates win.

I still hate the pitch clock, the Barry-Hearnism of baseball. Adjusting the game for the restless, TikTok-addled generation. Just pop a zanie and relax.

O’s on top … :+1:

Pitch clock makes the game wayyyy better, but I am used to it as I’ve been watching minor league baseball for years and they’ve had it for a long time.

I don’t really understand what the appeal is supposed to be of having long periods of standing around doing nothing.

Yup I’m not sure how the pitch clock makes it more friendly for the “tik tok” generation.

It’s the best addition to Baseball in some time.
