Marc Guehi (CB) Crystal Palace

Nice to see noises happening around this again. Hopefully it happens.

Hopefully this one closes quickly. Guehi is a good player, home grown, experienced, with years left on the clock. He will see plenty of action even with the others we have on the books, so game time should not be an issue.

I like the professionalism of the club. Sort it with Palace first. Probably £35M. Then at that point, terms should not be difficult to agree, as we are obviously a much bigger club than Palace and we pay our players more. Guehi will enjoy a very nice pay increase.

Ideally we also sign Leoni and leave him there on loan for a year, to continue to grow. Maybe by next summer they will be annoyed they sold him for €30-40M as he will look a €70M+ player?

Does anyone else see that as a snide dig at us regarding Newcastle.

At least his penalty was better than Mo’s, and he also won every aerial duel with Mo.

Game time is bound to be an issue. Not sure how we guarantee that.

Speaking of which, how did he play on Sunday?

50-60 games next year, normal amount of rotation plus Konate picking up his usual little injuries. Plenty of opportunities for him to play 40+ games

Depends on how much of a guarantee he is asking for. Cup games and that he is seen as a challenger for a first team spot and not just as backup, might be enough.

Seems it’s been a very productive day of negotiations

Best player on the park, in my view.

he had a good all round but should have been sent off Frimpong was lucky not to have his knee damaged, when the slow mo replay was shown even the commentators thought if it is reviewed he would have been off by an unbiased ref and VAR.

Was that not Wharton?

Edit: ignore this, just seen the comment above the one you replied to mentioning Wharton

yes have I again replied to the wrong post? I thought @Limiescouse was asking about vWharton?

Yeah I was.

These last 3 posts maybe add some validity to the accusation we’re becoming the Everton of Liverpool fan forums
