If they are signing two defenders as seems likely then they will sell him. Whatever fan groups what to write.
I was expecting him to have left already, I had the gut feeling throughout last season that he wasn’t looking to hang around at Palace. The FA Cup win may have forced his hand a little.
I said it earlier on here that, while I can understand his frustrations as a manager, he does get irritating putting this out in the open…
Unless of course this is his way to force the negotiations with LFC…
Glasner isn’t there for the long haul, so I doubt Parrish gives a shit what he thinks.
Probably didn’t even tell him he was signing that defender.
Ooh

Hopefully that does not mean he is going elsewhere
What do you mean, it says they are exploring multiple options for a signing not for us, this is the bellend who posted above it’s a fan site.
I know, but some hours ago he insisted that Guehi is going nowhere. Something has obviously changed at Palace.
Some mentioned we made a bid, but I am not sure about how much.
End of the day it’s up to Parish, didn’t seem to even know about Cavaot.
2 months of playing chicken to get the fee down and we will probably end up paying what Parish wanted then.

Have we been playing chicken? If he ends up here it wouldn’t entirely surprise me if there was some agreement made a while back
I could never understand the talk of the conference league qualification for the delay.

Amen
Made more sense than the community shield talk.
The best opportunity to qualify was keep Guehi around and then buy that weekend while being open to selling Guehi.
He’s Steve Parish isn’t he? Let’s be honest Glasner says it’s too late to get anyone else in and then an hour later Romano is posting about them signing someone ![]()
The problem with offering to pay the reported ask is that the seller will simply move the goal post and try their luck. Why wouldn’t they? Why play the game when you know the seller will (likely) have to sell and even if they do not you are not is desperate need any how.
My take is Glasner is speaking forthrightly as he is starting to imagine his life away from Palace. Selling Guehi against his wishes might give him the justification he needs. Or at the least it will simmer for a while until the right offer comes in for Glasner and he decides to move.
Parish has to take care of Palace. He seems a solid enough bloke and he isn’t stupid. If he thinks they can afford to let Guehi leave on a free they will absolutely do it.
If they cannot afford to say no to £35-40M rather than nothing, then that’s what they will do.
Glazer is a coach. Parish is an owner. The one will overrule the other if he has to. The sensible coach keeps it in house, unless he is looking for a way out…
Apparently Crystal Palace are open to £30m and Joe Gomez on loan for the season.
Liverpool have flatly rejected letting Gomez leave on loan but may consider a permanent transfer as part of the deal.
