Well we aren’t, we have 4 defenders for 2 positions.
It’s the fact that one has an annual long term injury and another who has an annual injury.
I do think Leoni is being considered more than most do on here.

You think we’d still be short with guehi and Leoni as 3rd and 4th?
We’ve one right back out with an injury and another coming back from injury. Gomez could be vital this season in providing some cover there especially if Frimpong really is being considered as an option to cover Salah.
Unless he pushes for it, and in a world cup year with a very weak England back line it’s possible he might want to play more, then I’d be keeping him.
I think Leoni is an unknown factor for most of us. I’d rather he were fifth choice and have chance to settle but maybe Slot and co think he’s ready to compete now.
If it comes down to getting Guehi or keeping Gomez, I’m afraid I’d let Joe go.
VVD, Konate, Guehi and Leoni would be a good CB selection.
Frimpong and Bradley should be fine for RBs. I’d be surprised if Guehi can’t do a job there too in an emergency.
Odd way of going about not buying anyone till Monday…by shoving a bid in for a player… Dave Mackay full of shit.
Anyhow always felt this might have a better chance than Isak.
As someone already said, it is highly doubtful that Joe would even pass a medical examination.
Bradley cant be relied on at all far too injury prone.
If Bradley is injury prone why would be hoping to rely on Gomez, they aren’t going rotate them.
Anyhow it seems we are going for a flat fee deal.
Since Bradley made his debut he has missed more games through injury than Joe 47 to 33.
Theyve had 3 months. Its no secret Gueye was entering final year
Oh all gheys looks the same to you?
Knowing how much we get when we sell players surely 10% of sell on is worth more
Depends if it’s 10% of the profit (which these usually are) or 10% of the total. If the former, it would have to be a sale of over £80m to be worth more than the £5m to them.
I can see this getting done to be honest. Feels to me Parish probably asked us to come back after the Europa ties.
And some thought Hughes was sat around playing Solitaire.
Their counter offer looks decent assuming if we move guehi on when he reaches VVD’s age.
