Premier League window closes tonight, but when do the rest of Europe close their transfer windows? If it is later, like they often do, then provided it is not leaving us short, there is no reason to cancel a transfer out just because our window is shut
Yes, if this will not happen we have Gomez and the young Italian bloke as backup, we will manage.
Milan must have reputable medical staff in London but apparently Liverpool don’t.
All feels a little bit let’s create tension bollocks.
Only reason the medical will take time is if terms haven’t been agreed.
I’m always relaxed after that kind of start to the day!
Why does glasner have a right to expect their most sellable asset stays despite being unwilling to sign a new contract and entering the last year where they can get money for him?
Is he not the same dude who had a run in with the previous sporting director as well?
He took a Palace team over midseason and turned them into one of the form teams in Europe. Lost Olise but went onto win Palace’s first meaningful trophy in his first full season and did it against the most successful English team of the past 10 years (and then a community shield against the most successful English team ever). Lost Eze then seems to be losing Guehi. This coming after a stint in Germany where he won a european trophy with Frankfurt, who are not what they have been in the past and also got picked apart (haller, Jovic, etc.).
Understand why he would rather have Guehi play out his contract and build further for next season. Think losing Glasner would be very bad for Palace; if this is one sale too many in too short a space of time. He’ll be at a bigger club in the next few years anyway - speeding up the process seems silly from their end
That would be too late.
Window closes at 5pm, so he would need to leave within the next hour to get upto Liverpool and do his medical.
Unless we predispatched part of our medical team to London first thing this morning so that they could do the medical in London
Didn’t Ekitike do all his medical in London? Or am I misremembering?
Either way, not the most serious post - it’s a flight tracker ![]()
7pm, and it’s already been said medical would be in London
Paul Joyce is saying the deal for Guehi would take place in London, so presumably the medical would take place there too.
Will be the quickest medical ever.
Do you think we have two medical teams? You know, one in London and one in Birmingham just in case?
You raise a valid point. For Parish, the key concern is whether Crystal Palace can afford to let their best player walk away for free next season. As you rightly mentioned, Glasner is likely destined for bigger things in the near future—perhaps even as early as next season. That means Palace could find themselves losing both Glasner and Marc next year, without the benefit of a £35 million reinvestment.
At the heart of the disagreement lies a fundamental divergence in perspective: Parish is focused on the club’s long-term financial health and sustainability, while Glasner appears to be operating with a much shorter-term outlook—perhaps not seeing beyond the current campaign…
and the weird thing about all this is, if Man United came in for Glasner in a few weeks after they fire amorim, I have very little doubt that he would be on the first flight to manchester and would not spare a thought for Marc who he will have left behind.
“How are you?”
“I’m fine, thanks”
DONE!
@FabrizioRomano via his youtube channel: “Liverpool have BIG confidence now to get Marc Guehi deal done,
feeling is it will happen.”
As opposed to the one that may take place in milan ![]()
