I can understand where Glasner is coming from. It’s just that he doesn’t have a longer commitment to Crystal Palace. If he wants Guehi so intently, Let him sign a 3 year contract now.
If he’s fucking off for the next job after this, Everything gets totally screwed.

We didn’t leave it late. We were clear that we wanted him about three months ago, and left it Palace to find a replacement.
The looked at three defenders today. Today. After all fucking summer.
It seems like we wanted it, the player wanted it, and Parish wanted it. Glasner appears to have had a shit fit and made it a resignation issue.
This a really odd move from Parish. I would expect the manager to leave at some point over the next six months, regardless of what happens with Guehi.

This was one transfer we really needed for our backline. Oh well, we’ll get him for free next season. Just hope that this delay from our side doesn’t cost us in the long run.
I see Gomez is staying for another 2 years which is good news under the circumstances. Hope he stays fit.

It must have been because Liverpool must have been told by Crystal Palace that there was no point bidding until Crystal Palace had a replacement. Palace fucked up getting the replacement. Probably hoping to get a cheap last minute deal.

I think the conference demotion is harsh. Wouldn’t it have required the ownership to divest their holding in the second club in like January or something? Hard to say ‘we think we’re winning the FA Cup this year’ at that point.
