I don’t disagree it was harsh, but I feel like that’s the kind of thing your legal folks should be looking out for? Might be hard to anticipate all possibilities but seemed somewhat an own goal.

Not for our lack of trying. The player made it clear he wanted to come only to Liverpool. We kept a suitable offer in. Everything else is strictly on Palace not getting replacements. I do think that Glasner would have vetoed any replacements that they negotiated for anyway. He’s won Palace their first trophy.

Parish will not get £35M worth of loyalty from Glasner. He made a huge error there.
You cannot agree with your own arguments anymore. The criticism I responded to was why we waited until today to make a bid which was clearly not the limiting factor in a move we’d been pushing for months

Palace are fucked. They’ve refused 70m for Guehi in January. They’ve refused 35m for him now.
He’ll leave for free or next to nothing in the coming Jan window. The manager will soon find a new destination soon. And they’ll recieve some pittance in payouts. Just a stupid shitshow all round.
