Marc Guehi (CB) Crystal Palace

Yeah sorry about that, when you left the Glasner was half full, now it’s half empty

i REAL-ly cant think of club in world football more attractive than us who would love to snap up an England international at a bargain price or on a free transfer next year.

it would be REAL shame if we didnt get him…

Not really, keeping Glasner happy and at the club is undeniably a great piece of business for them. Gives them another year to sort a replacement and hope that they can keep Glasner longer. Should also make them feel like he won’t be tempted by Leverkusen

Let’s be REAL, they are unlikely to want both Guehi and Ibou so hopefully we can LIVe with signing/extending the other. Ibou going to PSG and Guehi to REAL would be far from ideal though unless Leoni turns out to be the next generation defining Italian defender.

As I said to my ma, ‘Dridding this deal falling through at the last minute.’

I can stomach waiting for Guehi until January or even next year. But once concern with him waiting is the chance that some other club will step in and try to persuade him to join. Our competition might increase.

That would be my concern, I’ve warmed a bit from not giving the steam off my piss to about 10m in January.

I wouldn’t give them a penny. Fuck them

I like Guehi, but also he’s not quite the calibre of player I would lose much sleep over us missing out on and signing someone else instead.

I doubt it. He is England’s first choice Centre Back with a year left on his deal. And yet, no other clubs have been in for him all summer, and it seems to be an accepted fact that he wants Liverpool and it’s all lined up.

A lot can happen in the next few months: injuries, other opportunities arise unexpectedly, or we might experience a surprise like with Gravenberg’s development when Zubamendi withdrew. The only sad thing is that Marc really did everything right, and it didn’t help him.

Not impressive for me.

Isak was the main deal if you ask me. Van Dyk/Konate/Gomez/Leoni should keep us in good shape & once Macca finds his form our defence will become more settled. We were lost in attack with no Jota, Diaz and Nunez. With Isak we get a new dimension. Sad we let Harvey go. Such a versatile player - but he needs more playtime for his quality and Slot prefers Jones.

Sorry guys. My bad. This happens sometimes.

I have special powers. I cannot control them.

They control me.

The worry for me is having to place quite so much faith in a teenager with a dozen Serie A games under his belt, and a guy who can’t stay fit for two consecutive matches. But fingers crossed Virgil and Ibou can stay fit…

They’re not getting involved, they know he’s ours. The groundwork is done, the agreement is done. It’s a matter of time.

Well, where to begin with this…

Palace find themselves with an unhappy player, and a rift between head coach and ownership. The squad must be unsettled as well. I’d not be surprised if they struggle this season, Guehi or not . Glasner proves to be a bit of a lunatic on that occasion , and the upstairs department looks weak.

As for us, we find ourselves without an important reinforcement at CB.

Oh well… at least, Leoni has been brought in (let’s hope that he can rapidly perform at a sufficient level for us) and Gomez stays put, which is good news.

And if we really need and want Guehi, we can still come back in January for another attempt.
