ah so sign both? That could be nice. Future proof us a bit in case Konate doesn’t sign an extension.

Don’t quite mind that.
Anyone seen Diomande play regularly?
Who knows what type of CB we might need next summer, because there are some question marks who of the current lot will be here.
@YoullNeverWalkAlone = Edwards ?
I wouldnt want us to do shit like this, when we played them last day of the season, someone posted a crystal palace fan video ( probably @Livvy ) and honestly it was good to see their perspective, they were genuinely respectful and loved the fact that we gave them a guard of honour to recognise their first fa cup win, and from us as they noted it was class, i would prefer us to build relatsionships with clubs like palace as we have tried to do with Bournemouth and Brighton…
Let the shite clubs like city, chelsea etc act like assholes , and let us try to be more honourable in dealings when we can, and not try to act like madrid wankers.
That wouldn’t be allowed.
Also the developing relationship with Leverkusen. If business relationships are seen as being mutually beneficial it makes potential future deals more likely.
Being mean to a London Club. Tis the rules.
You can’t transfer a player (temporary or otherwise) to another team in the same league in the same window in which you obtained his registration.
Do you know if the ‘two windows’ for the world club caper count as different windows wrt this rule?
Not sure it is newish.
We arent talking aboubt PL stickers or Pokemon either
Do you know if the ‘two windows’ for the world club caper count as different windows wrt this rule?
It’s a good question. I don’t know off the top of my head, I’d have to check.
I guess it would depend on whether it’s considered two separate windows, or one continuous one that just got paused for a week or so.
Would have been a neat way around the issue. Surely the FA would have thought of that and excluded it though…

The only team we would stoop to that kind behaviour would be Chelski.
I do think Guehi will be a smokescreen though. The amount that Palace will demand for him will be way too high.
He apparently is entering the final year of his contract and expressed no desire to sign a new deal so will be interesting to see if they think keeping him and lose out on any transfer fee next summer is more valuable than selling him now?
Interesting that Newcastle pushed hard for him last summer and are still needing CBs but dont appear to have followed up on either him or Quansah…wonder if we have the player already committed to is?

I was thinking that also, mainly because he doesn’t fit the profile of our current CBs. A smokescreen for Branthwaite would be amazing but just can’t see that happening
Branthwaite is probably closer to signing a new deal with Everton. He plays where Virgil plays, hopefully without issues for 2 more seasons.
There doesn’t seem to be much of an update here. This article suggests that we will offer £30 million with a view to agreeing at £40 million. Seemingly he isn’t back in the UK until next month. I would have thought we want any signings settled before pre-season starts.
