Mo... blah blah blah... talk about it here

I believe Mo was spotted yesterday down in the Windsor Legoland with his family. Given his wages he can probably afford the top of the range sets. He’s probably squirrelled away in his spare bedroom constructing the Lego Death Star as we speak.

Not that I think he will or was ever going to leave this window - but Mo is wanted by Saudi/PIF desperately - PIF are different to the Ministry of Sport however, who run the leagues etc, and transfer window deadlines.

Thing is, they are also a government agency - therefore what’s to say a quick phone call can’t be made by some PIF bod to some sports minister bod to allow a transfer under special circumstances beyond the deadline - I mean if you can kill a journalist in a foreign country, you can do that no problem.

Thankfully Mo’s not going this window, or the Jan one regardless of what the corrupt wankers over in Saudi attempt to do.

I did wonder that myself, why do they (or anybody) even have a window?

I’d love to see us sound out Kvaratskhelia from Napoli at some point. He plays on the left but think he is 2 footed.Either way i think he’s a good but expensive shout

Which raises another issue. If we get 150m+, Do we spend 100m+ on a right winger, or go for a 50/60m option and invest the rest in another position eg CB?

Ornstein is lying. Saudis probably rejected Sancho.

The way i see it everyone knows we love to buy left forwards, so we just pretend that we are keeping Mo and buying Kvaratskhelia to challenge Diaz,Gakpo and Jota as they need the competition. If they don’t go for that then yes he will end up costing more but so will whoever else it is that we go for.

If we get 150mp for Salah next summer then i’d go for the first option.Mo will be 32 next summer, switching him out for a 22 year old with hugh ability and plenty more potential for 100mp doesn’t seem like bad business.50/60MP for a CB is decent money to spend on that position. At that point though we will need 2 of them.

Why?

VVD, new guy, IK, JG

With hopefully Quansah growing into a useful back up option too, after gaining some experience this season.

On paper it looks fine,it’s just we’ve been let down a bit much with injuries. If new guy was bulletproof we’d probably be ok.
Did you forget about Quansah?

Quansah and Quaresma. We’re going back… to the future!

For all the talk of Saudi Arabia making a massive late push to come and get Salah - it sure was quiet. Think they were relying on the player kicking up a fuss but he - publicly at least - made no overtures towards the move

Competitive integrity.

No, I just forgot his first name so couldn’t continue the initials thing.

But by that logic it doesn’t make sense for Napoli to push their asking price too high because then everyone will put up their prices knowing they’re flush with what we just paid them.

Also, we’re not United. They know we aren’t just going to pay whatever silly inflated price they might come up with.

I’m against buying anyone from Napoli. The guy in charge over there is shrewd.

It might just be my inattentive perception but it seems like no one ever wins dealing with them. Rarely can you find a bargain there and they know how to extract top value.

You’ve also got to remember there are funds generated year on year.

Yea they aren’t the level of others but we’ve spent a good £150m and only recouped about 70m it’s a higher than average spend for us if Salah went the wages would again balance out well for us.

Throw Gakpo on top it’s nearly 200m, I assume we can do a deal for a CB next summer without Salah beyond that we are pushing it though we can probably recoup pots here and there through the likes of Morton.

Forgot Thiago’s wages will also fall off. There will be funds available on top of any sales.

And probably similar to levels we saw this summer.

How about we just keep him and give him another contract? Crazy I know.
