I’d play Nunez on the right if Mo leaves, with Doak remaining as back-up.
Look at the two goals Darwin scored against the Barcodes- both taken with unerring accuracy from the inside right channel. Sure, his game won’t be exactly the same as Mo’s, but he’d bang in loads of goals coming from that side.

The only reason I’d be against a 200/250mp sale this week is that everyone would want a piece of the fee.Whatever player we bring in as a replacement will want better wages, their agent will want a bigger cut and the selling club will want a higher fee as they’ll all know we have the money to pay.
The only way for us to spend it without being fleeced is to either set up those costs prior to Salahs sale price becoming public knowledge or by getting in players who have a release clause/fee so maybe at least stopping the selling price getting inflated,if not the players and agents wages/fees.

Fuck this shit! They have money on tap! They could have bid at the very beginning of the window. This is a stunt to weaken us. No. Regardless of the amount

There really are no boundaries to the insanity of this football business, are there? Further and further removed from real life. Fantasy football indeed.

They went from £150m to £200m real fast. I’m surprised it isn’t already £500m at this point.
Including the fans.
No indication from the player that he wants to leave, telling teammates behind closed doors that he’s staying…
But yes, he’s obviously already on a flight to Saudi Arabia.

Sky Sports are just not letting this go. They’ve made it ‘breaking news’ on the app now. When you read it, it’s just the same old crap from the last few days.
They have been pushing the story from early last week.I thought it might be to up the whole transfer deadline day to get more viewers but it has ended up looking life it was something they just want to happen
I’m guessing it’s all about the £££ being thrown around…
They’ve got you sucked in WR, cut the chord…they’re playing you like a fiddle.
They have you marching to the beat of their drum, you need to smash that set up!!!
I think Bowen would do fine. Just not too keen on the amount West ham would charge.
Time to give Doak enough matches. League cup/Fa/Europa.

Bowen’s contract expire on 2025 - googled it couple of days back. So he will be in the last year of his contract next year and i dont think he would cost more than 35 million - one reason why i want him as others might fleece us and West Ham too if its not his last year.
From Google search.
“Bowen joined West Ham from Hull in 2020 and his current £60,000-a-week deal doesn’t expire until 2025. He’s scored 40 goals and supplied 32 assists in 158 appearances as a Hammers player.”
Not having a go at the post, but the part about an untried 17 year old kind of stands out.
I mean we have a history of playing untried 17 year old strikers in the past that have gone on to Excel…if we sold Salah and played doak, I have every belief he will live up to expectations we have …and I’m sure he’ll do the same if not better than Owen /Fowler…
That’s a massive shout. 2 of the best strikers we’ve ever had. If he can be 90% of them I’d take that now.

But he’s completely untried at this level. Mo has done it all. You may be right about Doak’s future, we don’t know right now.
Apart from anything else, the pressure on his shoulders at that age would be enormous.
Surely Doak’s development would be better served by being gradually introduced to the team without the pressure of immediately replacing one of the greatest players of all time.
I know what you mean, but at the same time it’s what we did with Fowler for Rush, and Owen for Fowler…it’s something that we have managed for years and then for some reason the quality of strikers coming through the ranks stopped for whatever reason.
Doak genuinely feels like the first talent of strikers that comes from the Owen/Fowler category, genuine excitement for what he could/can bring.
And I’m sure he’ll be fine, because if he gets the game time to break through not only will he have Klopp and the team, he’ll have the fans to protect and encourage him all the way.
We have one of the best players we’ll see in our lifetime. And we get to watch him every week. I can’t understand why any fan would want him to leave for any money.
And the chat of replacing him with Jarrod Bowen!? Fuck me. We really don’t know what we got til it’s gone

And for each we have had an experienced backup.
I’m really excited by Doak but the last thing I want is to drop him in at the deep end.

You have to pretend the 23/24 season does not exist…
That is what those in your camp do
