Mo... blah blah blah... talk about it here

I’d prefer to hold onto him but if the money were too good to turn down we still have 4 experienced players to cover 2/3 positions up top,and then we also have Doak .
As i said earlier ,the problem is we’ll get fleeced when we go out to buy Kvaratskhelia to replace him.

I’d be more than satisfied if he leaves at the end of 2024/25 for free with an additional PL or CL medal around his neck - to add the the Europa League medal he’ll get this year.

Way to divide opinion……

Yep. Salah can extend his contract as well.

It’s plain that his movement to Saudi is more political than it is a footballing equivalent.

If Salah leaves, then maybe Harvey, Dom and Doak could fill the void, so that Doak don’t has all the preasure. Then there is also Jota, who is capable to play on the right. Personally, I would give Harvey the chance to stake a claim on the right of the front three.

For what purpose? To bolster his position here now even further, or to keep him beyond the end of his current contract? Maybe to give us room to keep him in the 24-25 season and still have contract value left to sell him then?

Seriously?

We go from Mo Salah, all time great, international superstar to Harvey Elliott?

I’ve got a lot of time for Harvey, he’s a good lad and a decent footballer, but he’s nowhere near being able to take on Mo’s role in our side.

We all expect him to go sometime, dunno what he wants, and neither does the media…
Probably the best bet is to milk the Saudis for the max,but he stays till the summer, otherwise tell them to fuck off.
We let him go we can’t replace him with the class we want there now and tossing Doak in at the deep end may well put too much pressure on the lad too quickly…sure no one wants him stuffed before he is 20.

Best players I have seen playing for us (off the top of my head)

Dalglish
Gerrard
Salah
Suarez
Rush
Fowler
Keegan
Barnes
Souness
Hansen
Etc etc

This is who we’re talking about.

I’m sat here wondering whether Kvaratshkeila would be a good signing, more specifically whether he or Diaz could transition to the right wing, and this thread is debating Doak, Elliot and Bowen as successors to Salah.

Hmm…the Georgian would probably be fine.

And that’s precisely why we won’t be able to get a “like for like” replacement for him. To try to find one is a futile exercise.

Of course it is not the same level, but Harvey could really thrive there. The debate is , what to do, if Salah leaves this week? Then try Harvey there until January and then have a look again. As I said, there are some options in our squad, if Salah leaves.
Even in the transfer market, there are not many players, who are at Salahs level.

By the way, I’m not saying, Salah should be sold… I’m really not sure, what’s best.

He isn’t leaving this week.

Best I have seen in the flesh:

  1. Suarez
  2. Salah
  3. Gerrard
  4. Fowler
  5. Alonso

When does their Window shut?

Thursday. Not sure what time.

So not happening.

Although apparently its entirely up to them when it closes so wouldn’t shock me if they just say its not closing.

I’d like to think him playing against Villa, and for the entire game, was a reflection of the certainty of both parties that this issue was closed. If the money was tempting either side I dont think you risk that by playing him in this game, and certainly not all the way through even after the game is well won.

‘Mo Salah has scored 24% of all Liverpool goals under Klopp
He made 13% of all assists so was directly involved in 37% of goals scored by a Klopp team since 2015’

That is staggering!
