Big Virg is on the piss tonight!
Honest question…do ya reckon they’ll bother??
Yes. It’s important they do, actually, regardless of my clear support for Hamilton. The whole sport needs CAS to adjudge whether the FIA can actually just make stuff up as they go along.
Wow, that was a pretty awful racing result. I’ve not followed F1 for years even though I loved it through my teens and early, early 20’s and the only controversy remotely akin to this with the Championship on the line in the last race would be Schumacher ramming Damon Hill as he was about to pass him and scamper away to the title.
Racing lost that day and even though I have never been Hamilton’s biggest fan, it lost again today. Good for ratings, I suppose, but pretty poor to have the clearly faster driver get done like that.
I just read on Twitter that some rule overrode another rule…
Can any confirm/explain??
On a more important note, have the grid girls been allowed back yet?
Found it…
Anyways @Kopstar
Interested to see what happens next!
Masi will say he wanted it decided with the two racing. Ignoring the fact that it had clearly already been decided over the preceding 51 laps. That’s more conclusive than a farcical 1 lap sprint with the slower driver on the day given a decisive advantage by being on new tyres and with an 11-second deficit wiped out.
FIA fucked itself today.
Ignoring the fact that Masi also removed a whole lap from the regulations!
With all the tweets from the FIA it’s quite obvious that they were DESPERATE for Verstappen to win the championship. Absolutely gagging for it.
F1 just crossed a line in my eyes. No longer a sport, entertainment only.
This is dead wrong.
Needs to go to CAS and be overturned.
The integrity of F1 is at stake.
I bet the standard penalty for overtaking under a SC is a 5-second penalty.
It’s F1 Motor”Entertainment” from now on, no longer Motorsport. That was the most unsporting decision they could have come up with
I’ve been making that point since the farce in Spa.
Spa was an absolute joke. Should have been called off. How do you call a procession a race?
Absolute farce. Hamilton owned that race today, remains the best driver and deserves the world championship. It needs to be overturned. Hamilton unfortunately probably should have had the championship in the bag before this last race, but there’s been many a strange call this year. Hamilton deserves the championship.
