Just one question about the Norwich side - who the fuck are they?

Interesting that Origi isn’t captain.
While he’ll always be a legend for his CL exploits, I genuinely can’t think of a worse option for captain
Why would Origi be captain?!

Not the first time he would have captained us.
The default sorting priority is the (previously 4) 3 captains voted on by the team, then the longest-serving player in the team at that point. This was brought up last season against Midjytlland when Alexander-Arnold captained the team and there was a story about Salah not being happy he didn’t get it. Jürgen later clarified that actually, Origi should have gotten it.
EDIT: To clarify, Gomez joined in 2015, while Origi technically joined in 2014.
Smash them. They’re shit.
About fucking time.
It’s on DAZN 2:45pm here in Ontario
watching at the Football Factory? That place still exist?
I expect that Jürgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game.

Who is the captain???
Decent lineup, excited to see how Kade gets on, looked good in the pre-season games, but this is a step up.
Personally, I’d have swapped Gomez for Nat, but happy with the selection otherwise.
Roll on the Kangaroo Cup open-top bus parade.
Gomez.
If Minamino allows himself a moment of reflection on where his current trajectory looks like it’s taking him, he simply cannot allow the 16yr old debutant to outshine him tonight.
I was just about to jump in here and say “Balagizi not with the U18s tonight, could he be on the bench?” - and I forgot that the first team had already been announced
What channel is this on ?
Not sure where this is coming from. There’s a lot more to playing for us at a top level than just shining in a single match.
On a separate note - all three of my “One’s to Watch” for Norwich are starting - Andrew Omobamidele, Bali Mumba and Adam Idah so… you know… watch them.

10 out of the 11 I said should start are starting.
OK. Well by my reckoning Taki could end the evening less likely than Gordon to be in the cup competition line-ups if we get beyond the early rounds. I hope he shows the mettle he may well need to keep his status in at least those two competitions.
Essentially the sort of team I expected. Will mostly be using the evening to have a look at Bradley and Gordon.
Hoping Taki has a good game.
