Bowen isn’t very exciting but he is a good prem level player. 9 goals and 11 assists isn’t a bad return in 38 games for a terrible West Ham side. He could be a good squad option if he was cheap enough or on loan. With how the market is though, West Ham might look for too much for him. So maybe the loan would be best to then free up a pathway for Joshua Abe.
I thought he was 29 or 30, if so i would think West Ham would be against a Loan, 1particularly if they need the money.
Then again was anyone thinking this about Mane? Or even Salah to be honest.
I think people were quite excited about Mane and especially Salah.
I personally thought Mane at Saints ended up too central as more of a forward (shows what I know) although we did have Firmino who dropped deeper so it worked particularly well for us.
Mane wasn’t seen as an issue to solve all problems and Salah was treated as a lets see. I think rose tinted glasses are disturbing your view.
Alisson and VVD now that’s entirely different.
I said he was trying to reclaim it as his birth name, considering his family I find it all a bit bollocks anyhow.
Why dont you ask me about Jovanovic or Downing?
If I’m remembering right and I’m probably not, Mane was looked on positivity because we needed a player like him so badly and he’d been great for Southampton for two seasons already. There was some that disliked us signing from Southampton again though.
Salah had a great breakthrough season in Italy but there was a lot of people calling him a failed Chelsea player and that we didn’t want Chelsea rejects. I still think more positive then negative though but less so then with Mane.
Also remember a fair bit of discussion at the thought of moving Mane to the left to accommodate Salah on the right as both had preferred that side up to then.
Good point. I had forgotten that and worth keeping in mind at the moment while we wait to see who we do sign.
What about Dango?
I prefer Django.
I’d prefer the Japanese dumplings over the player
Well there goes that one. Unless…

Yeah, I feel the same way. Minteh seems very raw in the way he plays, I’m not quite sure how good he actually is. I think he could be good if we also bought someone like Barcola or Abde. Be a guy off the bench.
Bowen would be interesting on a loan, but I’m not keen on seeing him play on the wing. Would take him as an option up front though.
Ivorian Stewart Downing.
Quite underwhelming the pair of them really. If you are looking at first team options after Salah.
Seen a couple of links saying LFC have been monitoring Kevin at Fulham to see if he steps up to the Premier League - 23 year old right footed Brazilian, listed as a left winger that can also play right wing and up front.
I guess we’ll see. I suspect from the little I’ve seen of him he’ll have a better career than Downing did.
