We’ll still win this  No point in trying to claw the goal difference back by going hell for leather - three points is what we need. We do need a bit of freshness for the cup finals so makes sense to thin out a bit tonight. Shame about Fab though. Hope he’s going to be OK for Paris.

Lads…it’s the end of the season. These guys are running on empty. They are mentally focussing on what they believe is possible. 2 cup competitions ahead….

HT 1-1

The opening goal was one of them different phases of play, after the blind assistant couldn’t see two players offside before Ali saving. Matip getting us straight back into it.

Villa with two up top, and they played best when we tried to force the ball quickly upfield. We’d lose the ball, and Villa would be on to us. We played better in the last 15 mins as we started to play that one extra pass in midfield rather than giving it away quickly.

We carved out a good chance with Trent finding Naby in front of goal, but he fluffed it. Need to keep playing, and there are spaces in the Villa back line to get some pleasure.

Fab looking at a worrying injury at this time of the season.

Who would you play? Would you have started either Thiago or Hendo? What if one of them went down with a hamstring? Would that be on Klopp? Or would you cede the league completely and play Jones with Elliott?

That’s not really fair @rupzzz not one person is saying that.

What has been said is that Fab is an important part of our setup and given our options in midfield, it’s interesting he was used tonight. IMO he is one of 3 players we could least afford to lose with 2 Cup finals coming.

But like Peaches said, The Boss had hard choices to make.

Who said before game Fabinho should not play.

We forget sometimes that Klopp has got an army of medical scientists and analysts looking at player fitness, and they will tell him if a player is in the red zone.

That miss by Naby, basic shit that. Think he’s been poor both ends today.

NBC clearly showed two Villa players offside and should have been flagged when Watkins shot. Pure incompetence

I think he is only getting game time because he’s in the shop window. Can’t see him getting a new contract

Var would have checked it

But the question is players looking jaded and affecting some performances

Not playing particularly well. They look deflated after the Spurs draw. Not controlling the midfield.

Good fight back though. Diaz looking good. I still expect to win this.

Sky done the same but then waffled on about new sequence of play or summit.

Advert on Sky at HT. Speaking about screaming like a little girl.

Sounds just like Konsa early in this game.

Not sure how Jota, Kostas, Keita can be jaded personally. They’ve not been brilliant, I expected more when they got their chance.

What tosh, he was one of our better players when he played his last game as a 6

Any streams anyone ???

Well that was gone in February IMHO but after Saturday for sure. It was clear Fabinho needed rest just as Henderson and guess what now both play one is injured and Milner sits fit on the bench.

This one is on Klopp
