Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 27/10/24 4.30pm)

Well, it is a good point given by the shocking first half by the boys…

Robbo for some reason decided to go physical with Saka and got burned hard…Poor game from him…

Jones had a quiet game at AM, got marginally better at CM

Diaz was all huff and puff and only won one dribble against a CM playing at RB…At least he got an assist today!

Macca looks overwhelmed without a hard running AM in front of him…

TAA had a mixed one…A lot of his passes were panic driven but the ones where he has time to do it were good. That pass to Nunez was perfect!

We can probably see why Kelleher is second choice today. His distribution with his foot leaves a lot to be desired…

Salah saved us the point!

Arteta was very clever in boxing off Gravenburch and not getting too close to him as he can take players out of the game by a turn…This in turn lures his fellow CM or the CB to step up to support as they know Saka can dominate his flank and Arsenal will follow the supporting CM or CB. No wonder the first half was a shitshow…

The Jan window is coming and the planning for the summer window has to start soon. I hope FSG do support the manager and the transfer team in getting a cover for RG, a successor to Robbo and perhaps a proper cover at AM…But I guess we will see excuses from FSG again…

Its ultimately why he is the number 2. But with Allison not been able to keep fit nothing you can do.

Kelleher was always more adventurous in his distribution. But that goal by Saka , Allisson would have been in a much better position. But then , he’s the best keeper in the world.

Why would he have been in a better position he wouldn’t have expected Robbo to let Saka cut back either.

He would have had a foot closer to the near post.

Matter of inches still

How has Keir Starmer got time to post on an Arse forum…! :0)

He went long more often than not, which suggests to me it was probably due to instructions. Kelleher’s natural tendency is to play the ball shorter.

They def weren’t robbed but I did think we got some decisions that would usually go against us

I noticed that he was having less of that nonsense in the second half. Having said that, he seemed to miss loads of things like the free kick against us when the ball hit the guy in the face.

We had Darwin up-front to harass the defence when Kelleher went long

Good game - team showed good resilience. One thing I would say is that we seem to be learning to play beyond the early Grav factor.

Again , not a slight against Kelleher. But Alisson would have done better probably in that position.

It’s more on Robbo the saka goal though

Happy to come away with a point after the majority of our team were very poor. Our passing was horrendous after the quality they have showed most of the season up till now. Think Arsenal will struggle in the next few weeks with a lot of injuries to defenders.

No he wouldn’t he would have had no need too if Robbo had defend like you would have expected him too.

Whener I see Kelleher in his green tights, and stick on beard, makes me think of Errol Flynn playing Robin Hood

Nunez is terrible at holding up the ball for his size.

Just a matter of inches. Gut feel is that Ali would have made that one extra step.

But then that goal was all on Robbo.

That small percentages do matter at those points.

Got a horrible feeling we might have to make the most of watching Robbo this season - Old Father Time on his tail and all that

Yeah I know, but it might explain any decision Kelleher was given, to punt it forward
