Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 27/10/24 4.30pm)

Arsenal are going to suffer the consequences of rushing players back just so that they could face us. Fantastic result considering how average we were.

That won’t wash at the Bernabeu

Just watched the second half and we looked the better side.
Konate was immense. Kept covering for Trent when he went awol.
Too much ballon d’or talk. More like a lead balloon for most of what I saw. One great pass and I guess all is forgiven, but he’s flying too close to the sun.
I hope someone has a word.

Imagine Arsenal time wasting when they are at home.

Just a negative negative team. They were happy enough with the draw.

Thats the reason their lot won’t win anything. Small club mentality remains

I don’t think that that is the reason they waste time. Look at their averages - they do it in matches they are utterly control of, which is sort of the point. They use time wasting to try to exert control over a game, against an opponent like LFC to prevent momentum from building.

Just a more expensive Atlético.

Will happily take the point. I don’t know if we will still be in a title race come the business end of the season, but if we fall behind it won’t be because we dropped 2 points away to Arsenal.

Exactly once we started exerting a bit of pressure thats when it went into over drive.

Couple of friends of mine who are arsenal fans seem to be graduating to wanting to get rid of Arteta.

Especially if they are trophyless after this season. The style of football arsenal play can only be worthwhile if they are winning trophies.

It all can go pretty downhill pretty quickly and the fans won’t like that football if the wins aren’t forthcoming

Andy Townsend is particularly lovely as a commentator of Liverpool games. The second we equalised they couldn’t stop talking about their injuries and it was their excuse for everything.

Absolute media darlings are Arsenal.

They obviously aren’t? Look at how hard done by they are by referees!

Poor Arsenal!

Arsenal have the best bench strength in the league.

It’s not even a contest.

But the English media (which is heavily in favour of arsenal) would have you believe that an understrength arsenal nearly got a win against superior Liverpool side with all their riches.

We have a 25 man squad.

Arsenal have a 35 man squad.

They don’t get to use the injuries excuse.

They might as well wait and see how things pan out in a post-Klopp/Guardiola league. They must have short memories of how awful they were for so long, despite their current style of football.

Arsenal’s biggest problem is that they lack a killer instinct. At 2-1 the game was there for them, and they could and should have gone three.

Small club mentality. Atleast that’s the Everton in Arteta

At what point in the season do Arsenal decide to prioritise a cup run over the league? Before or after Christmas? Otherwise they risk achieving less than Utd have achieved with their current golden generation.
