Easy to say. Was he of the same opinion last season? (i.e. did he say “if you don’t win it this season I think that’s it for you unless you buy enough young players in the summer, because you can’t keep the intensity for 7 years straight”?)
If not then thanks a lot, anyone can conclude that, and it doesn’t even mean it’s right…
I can’t believe this shit is popping up in here as well.
So, unless I’m much mistaken @Kopstar , we don’t get to cancel loans willy-nilly like that. There’s probably no specific clause to cancel a loan just because we don’t like the situation we found ourselves in.
We can’t bring anyone in, because the transfer window is closed, and there’s a chance that he might still make it back for some crucial matches before the next transfer window. So why would you advocate getting rid of someone who might still be able to help us?
Thirdly, that sends a great message to anyone whom we might be looking at. Don’t get off to a flying start and/or get injured? YNWA doesn’t apply to you, good riddance. Some attraction there.
The hyperbole on these forums is ridiculous.
Yes, but I’m not claiming that they’re corrupt, are they?
I’ll say this.
If certain referees aren’t corrupt I can’t fucking wait until it starts ‘evening itself out’ or their ‘incompetence’ starts working in our favour because we’ll piss this league.
You really need to have put in more of a shift before you start calling for Klopp’s head.
I go back to the mid eighties. Klopp is the best manager we’ve had in 40 years. Yes, better than King Kenny.
Our attack has scored 8 goals in the last 3 games. It is not the problem.
Better than king Kenny ? In your opinion
Of course in my opinion.
Kenny took a squad that had been serial winners for twenty years and continued that success for another five, during a spell where there was no real rival power to challenge us.
Klopp built a team from nothing, won the League and European cup and did so in an era where you have to get 95 points to win the league.
Mine too. Kenny had the advantage of being one of our greatest players. Klopp wins as a manager though. But obviously IMVHO.
You missed out not being owned by uber money.
And the fact of what the club had went through, and Kenny still managed to evolve the squad, European cups to the club under klopp tbh means little in comparison to Kenny’s achievement as we were banned from competing at the time, but I’m sure as hell we won would have won it all.
It’s all subjective, but imo Dalglish is miles ahead of anyone since paisley but then I admit I’m biased as Dalglish is probably the only person on earth who could be considered bigger than the club (again my opinion) but Kenny being Kenny bleeds Liverpool like all of us .
That’s the most concerning part. How can you build up any kind of momentum with all those injuries disrupting the season? It’s mission impossible I’m afraid…
I guess that things might get better after the big shit-show in Qatar, if the squad finally manages to stay fit for a while. Before that, things will remain difficult.
So you weren’t here even in 2010? Now, that explains
I agree with what you say but 5 minutes later a ball ricocheted off a player in a challenge and hit Jota’s arm which was probably less distance away and guess what? free kick for handball rules need to be applied fairly and if you give one you have to give the other, that is all I ask and all I expect
If it hits their arms behind the back that should be a penalty cos that is definitely unnatural
@maxpain17 I think the grueling preseason is a key factor. We traveled too much and we played too many games. Klopp/coaching staff may have thought that such a preseason will make us sharp from the very beginning, but in reality the fatigue (and the injuries) started to build during that period.
If we look at the players who are nowhere near their usual selves; VVD, TAA, Salah, they are the ones who played most mins last season.
Yep that pissed me off as well. I can understand slightly how a defender handling in the box gets more a benefit of the doubt than an attacker doing the same, but calling so quickly the Jota handball in an inconsequential part of the pitch is just a completely inconsistent call.
Brentford got a penalty this weekend for an incredibly similar situation.
As if this shitshow couldn’t get any worse this came up:
Judging from the rumours on Twitter, Henderson is supposed to have made a racist comment towards Gabriel. It would seem very out of character but if it is confirmed it would presumably be a ban for Hendo.
At this point just accept the season for what it is - a transitional one and likely the start of a rebuild into the next team. I don’t really see why people need to get so performatively angry. We’ve won every trophy possible in the last few seasons and now this group of players seems to be coming to an end of their cycle. That’s fine. Now we get to do the other exciting thing to challenging for the league which is building a new team over the next few seasons.
Does that involve losing games, playing like shit and buying some duds? You bet it does. That’s why it feels all the better when you reach the summit again. There’s a certain beauty to not being the best every time.
Isn’t that much easier to watch and understand if youth players are getting minutes? Our average age this season is one of the oldest in the league, so hard to see how this is transitional.
