Post match: Bournemouth v Liverpool (EPL 11/3/23 12.30pm)

A lot of us know

It does feel like they milk the good moments and completely vanish when things get tough and hang out Jürgen to face the music alone don’t they

The expectation that they should be constantly talking to the press, as well as the expectation that the club management should be constantly taking the press, is ridiculous.

We are not a media circus like United, thank you very much.

Against the so-called other Big Six clubs, we are 3-1-2, averaging 1.67 points per match.

Against the rest of the league, we are 8-6-5, averaging 1.57 points per match.

This is the type of stuff that just drives you nuts.

Nobody said constant. You’re saying that.

FSG shouldn’t just pick the good moments and try to curry favour. It’s pretty transparent.

We weren’t a media circus. Not until vague statements about ownership were made and allowed to mutate into the club being for sale, when apparently FSG didn’t mean that.

That was a media circus

Nope, I got shouted down for being pessimistic on FSG’s supposed summer rebuild this coming August window when their track record of big signings here are always built on the back of big money departures. I got ridiculed for saying FSG have lost interest in winning and are instead obsessed with proving to the whole world their model is right and have even made slight digs at other type of club ownership.

Well I was very disappointed by the lack of investment from FSG last summer.

Anyone can walk with you in the bright sunny sun but how many will walk with you in the pouring rain without an umbrella?

Fancy some fellow fans telling me that the middle east folks doesn’t fit the culture of the club while the current owners embodies the antithesis of You’ll Never Walk Alone and the modern incarnation of a bandwagon fan…

How to ruin your weekend in 2 easy steps.

1- Get dragged to the in-laws by the missus
2 - Watch LFC play like an overpaid complacent bunch of no clue cunts again.

Fuming.

Not fuming, fucking disappointed in myself for getting my hopes up again after the Utd result, and wanting us to push on for 4th place for the rest of the season.

I’m looking at you, @RedOverTheWater for all this FSG discussion in the wrong thread!

It’s all my fault!

Im pissed off and made a salty comment about FSG, and now everyone with a previous agenda on them has piled in.

Im just going to whistle and saunter along this way…

Battered Utd last week playing great direct football. Come today they dish up the old sideways football we’ve had to suffer all season. The problem is that it’s not unexpected.

Blaming them is fine but this side beat Man Utd 7-0 all the ideas we have about tiredness meh.

I think we’ve lost to bottom of the league 3 times that’s fucking appalling.

The poor results this season are partly to blame on the lack of investments of FSG so it is perfectly fine to bring it up in another poor match due to the midfield problems.

I disagree with you 100% because fsg don’t manage the day to day runnings of the club. Identifying where to strengthen and where not to will have been taken at club management level.

If you can give me evidence of where fsg have blocked a transfer in, I’ll review my opinion but so far I believe you’re pointing fingers in the wrong direction.

How can FSG block a transfer when FSG have set a very limited budget for LFC and Klopp need to sell to raise funds which eventually forced his hands on where and how to replace the departures?

I will put forth another scenario. Would Klopp reject a 300m pounds war chest excluding player sales to do an immediate overhaul on the engine room and central defence?

Considering that Henry was not saying anything new that he hadn’t already said before, I think you might just be overthinking it.

The statements were not vague. Journalist speculation went overboard just because Chelsea had been sold not too long ago. The statement they released at the time was crystal clear, and had not changed their stance at all. They have always been open to investment into the club, and they remain so. Nothing new, except whatever spin on it the “journalists” who would like you to think that they’re well-connected and ITK put on it for their latest clickbait.

Fans just chose to read whatever they wanted into what journalists published in order to get clicks. None of it had any basis in reality whatsoever.

The idea that they were being vague needs to die.

Then why the PR statements from FSG are always uncannily on the back of some wins?

Why haven’t you just pissed off and gone to support City or Newcastle already, if you’ve got such a hard-on for Middle-Eastern slavedrivers sportwashing?

Direct quote from Chairman and FSG stakeholder, Tom Werner, in November.

“We’re exploring a sale…”

I can pull up the rest of the quote, but it was widely reported at the time. It is the quote where he said there was no urgency, and it was business as usual.

But he definitely said, “We’re exploring a sale” so to pretend it didn’t happen, and fans were jumping on something that wasn’t put in play by a key FSG man, is dishonest.

Since then Henry’s quotes supersede what went before, when he confirmed they are staying, and working on a minor investment.
