Everything going to plan in order to confuse Madrid.
Draw against Palace
Destroy the mancs.
Play multiple forwards in all kinds of positions
Return to schizophrenia by losing to the weakest team.
Fly to Madrid
Score 3 goals. Win on PKs.
Coudnt watch so cant say much other than ffs , i want this season to end but at the same time i have no faith in FSG rebuilding, salah is our only 100 mil assest and even if we sell him this will not be near enough and fsg will not put much new money
My view on FSG has been clear. Good owners, and I would be delighted with them moving forward, in a rules based order with proper financial governance.
I think we need more moving forward, and the minority investment, pending detail, might be just the thing. We might retain sensible governance and a non sportswashing state as owners - a good thing; while also seeing more investment make its way onto the pitch to help Jurgen finish building his next great team.
Quietly hopeful here, but this has been a dog turn of a season, mind.
Except, the rest of his quote relates to how it was just a single option they were looking at. Which is again nothing new.
Conveniently you ignore the fact that he also said that another outcome would be that nothing changed.
This is my whole problem with it. People are reading into it what they want to see, as opposed to what the statement actually means.
EDIT: For clarity, my beef is with fans having a problem with FSG because of their own wishful thinking rather than anything with a basis in reality. Just to be really clear. You can have a beef with them for whatever other reason you might have, but to blame the state of the situation on them is laughable.
An American like Chelsea owners would do if the middle eastren dont give you a hard on if you ever had one
āWeāre exploring a saleā¦ā is very clear from the Chairman and FSG man Tom Werner.
They were exploring a sale as one of a number of options, but nevertheless, they were exploring a sale, and it wasnāt a figment of our imagination.
Since then Henryās latest quote says minor investment and they are staying.
No need to get triggered, mate. They can be anyone. Fuck me , I donāt even care if the 5th and 8th richest SWF in the world combine into a consortium to buy Liverpool. But the act of using other peopleās misdemeanours outside football (and saying they are unfit to be custodians of the club) to whitewash the recent failure of FSG to ensure that the club is functioning well in the boardroom and boot room is biggest red herring that is thrown in this forum.
I think his rationale was something along the lines of āthey arent executing gay people in England so what is your problem with sportswashing?ā
I might add, rehashing old stale shite about FSG is tedious, but probably preferable to discussing todays game
These yanks are no fools but they do fool many on here.
Not if they run the club like Boehly is doing.
Fulham, Wolves, Brighton, Brentford, Forest, Everton, Palace and now Bournemouth. Not sure which has been the worst performance of the season domestically but itās quite a selection to choose from.
Southampton, Leeds, Leicester and West Ham aways still to come as well which worry me more than the upcoming trips to City and Chelsea.
You know what, Iāll bite. Look up the last time someone got executed by the Shariah courts of Qatar for just being gay in Qatar. Go on.
There can be laws but not all laws are enforced for a reason.
Chelsea who didnt win for 9 games are only 5 behind. Spurs 6 in front.
I canāt comment on the game in any case, I didnāt watch it. And it seems, that choice put me in a much better moodā¦
Contradictory post. Not blocking but giving you peanuts. Same thing in my book.
Second scenario, yes it wouldnāt surprise me one bit. He was ready and tried to pull the plug on the VvD transfer remember? It was fsg that turned him round. Heās said since day 1 that in his mind itās about training, not buying.
Also, can you explain the FFP implications of your suggested āinvestmentā?
I remembered clearly that that particular line from Tom Werner and it was also used by a poster here to say that FSG themselves are #FSGout until Henry came out and say they are staying.
Which was conveniently released after a win and after the news of Man City getting slapped with 100 over charges of infringing FFP.
I know. Itās just that today I am a bit dejected. I thought, after such attrocious form, that we could use the Manchester game for something and this game kind of crushed that hope and I donāt understand how we could fight so little today. I know I should be positive, but itās not in me today. I look at next season with hope instead. The rest of the season i guess I am hoping for positive surprises.
And there you are sitting on your high horse telling others to fuck off and supports Newcastle while you donāt even watch Liverpool play.
You are really a piece of ā¦
To me its an attitude problem. Weāve won big games this season. No issues getting up for Man Utd or Man City but away at Bournemouth and we canāt be arsed.
Iāve had enough of the ātiredā excuse. We are not tired we are fucking lazy. I washed the dishes at half time and that expended more energy than most of the players did today.
Salah standing still, Fabinho with the mental agility of a octogenarian on a particularly strong dose of horse tranquilizer, Elliott just not having any interest in the slightest or looking behind him or following a run, Konate playing the last 30 minutes of the firdt half like heād swapped his boots for ice skates, van Dijk trying so hard to be smooth and unrushed that he just stops midway through defending a situation.
I could go 1-11, never mind that I could 1-18 and the coahces too. I think theres an argument to be made that the backroom staff needs a shake up because they are getting no reaction from this group. Lijnders probably needs to go.
Not good enough. A lack of talent I can accept. A lack of application is unforgiveable.
