Post Match: Brighton v Liverpool (EPL 28/11/20 12.30pm)

Media whore and all-round dickhead these days I’m afraid.

The problem with dealing with media is it can easily have influence in either way - Ferguson or Rafa. I just hope with Klopp it doesn’t end up becoming the latter.

As long as Klopp doesn’t let it affect him, am good if he lets his frustration know. Just hope it doesn’t create a negative impact though on the team and the way the league further treats us.

You are definitively wrong on one point, Barney. The goal line does NOT end at the post. It ends at the corner flag. That’s laid out clear in Law 1 of the game. You are talking about the goal itself.

Well, if you think about it, the offside law dates back to when the other laws of the game were different.Yes, there’s an advantage in being closer to the goal line than the defender. Yes, in some circumstances that advantage is small and in some circumstances that advantage is huge. Managing that is part of the player’s discipline. Sure, I get your logic of your alternative rule, although you might need a lot of extra markings on the pitch to have any hope of refereeing it. It’d be like some sort of American Football pitch but with bendy lines

Got that naive suit buyer thing going on as well, always over dressed.

The majority voted to leave. Get over it.

Every club has a right to vote how they choose. That’s just the way it is. Selfish or not. Maybe it will change though.

I only did it cos of those CAD lines on VAR honest…it is absurd though, the goal line, can be described in several ways, but as a matter of fact, it ends at the posts. This is a fact. If the ball crossed the line outside the post, it is not a goal.

Anyway, thanks for understanding my overthinking and indulging my carp :+1:

Hopefully not, actually seen him playing in a charity game only a few years ago. I’d nearly say I’m better than him and I haven’t kicked a ball in 10 years

I think Klopp knows we’re being fucked over by the authorities and officials but knows he has to be careful what he says. I just hope he’s using it to fire up the players.

I don’t need to get over anything. I didn’t vote because the choice to me was akin to choosing between a shit sandwich and a bowl of cold dog spew.
I’m angry today because yet again we’ve had every fucking major decision go against us because the authorities and officials in this country want to shaft us at every opportunity. A blind man on a fast horse can see it. Therefore I’ll use any insult that comes to mind and ‘Brexit cunt’ was the first thing that came into my head even though, if I had to cast a vote, I’d probably have voted leave.
Hope that clears things up.

There are people on here who have recognised the bias against Liverpool for a long long time. Winning the PL last season only papered over the cracks, and allowed the LiVARpool narrative to develop.
Well, if we cannot all see the level of bias by officials and commentators in the last few weeks then we are blind.

Today…just today.
Salah has a goal disallowed by alignment and realignment of lines. Lets be honest here, he was onside or at the very least its a 50/50 decision. We dont get those decisions.

There is no foul by Philips on Wellbeck. But a free in a dangerous area. Why?

Robbo kicks the same time as Welbeck, neither get the ball…ref misses it and its surely not an “obvious” error. But VAR advise him to look at the monitor. At best again a 50/50 decision.
We don’t get them.

There is a post above that shows Liverpool suffering double the next highest VAR overturns? And some of us still insist that its been managed consistently and fairly.

I am deflated and unable to enjoy football at the moment. Everton were allowed kick fuck out of our best players and have a legitimate goal for us chalked off by more VAR shite.

Remember Suarez was driven away by the media howling about him. All because he made us better. He wasnt an angel but the media hounded him out. At Fergies behest.
Klopp will be as well, the die is cast.

I wouldn’t trust those VAR lines any more than I would sitting next to you with sharpened compasses.

Glad you found someone willing to understand.

Agree with everything in your post Quicksand except this.

It is being managed consistently. They will rule against us at every opportunity even if it means re-drawing lines and making up laws that don’t even exist, armpit was offside for example. They are being remarkably consistent.

I feel exactly the same at the moment. VAR and shithouse tactics by the likes of Everton have spoilt the season so far. Add corrupt officials into the mix and it’s the perfect storm.

Oddly enough, I completely agree with the VAR offside lines on that Everton disallowed goal.

So do I and I’m not even watching it!

Straight lovely CAD line across the entire pitch

Because it suits us? Both offside. I don’t really follow the idea of ‘if it’s close play on’. What determines close? Then you are relying on interpretation which only makes things muddier. Find out exactly using the best technology we have available and call it on that. Which they did.

Btw both Mane and Salah had the face of a kid caught raiding the cookie jar. They knew.

Robbo’s is shit unlucky but correct. Trying to clear the ball but getting there second with contact. And it’s not a new rule. Off the top of my head I remember both a Carra and Moreno penalty given for the same thing. Fucking sucks especially in the 94th minute but it’s hard to complain.

This is what scares me the most. Not the 2 points lost, but the long term effect of this on Klopp being with us.
