Post Match: Brighton v Liverpool (FAC 29/1/23 1.30pm)

Which is pretty much what I said. If he hadn’t performed well in those two games I very much doubt we would have signed him.

Problem is I’ve heard and seen this before. I’d like for us to start buying players that play brilliantly for a season at least.

Mate seriously! We’re getting our arse handed to us by Brighton on the regular. What do you think Madrid will do!

Not confident going into any game these days Berge available for under 20 million but We can’t afford him, now trying desperately to sell Nat to get some of the Gakpo money back, sad times.

Like many other teams do in Europe. It’s bad but I wouldn’t bet against us in Europe no matter who the fck we are playing against or how bad we ourselves are playing.

We’re gonna smash Madrid to pieces Kop, don’t you worry.

We’re gonna go full Barca at Anfield mode on their arses, I’m telling ya they won’t know what hit them.

If we try that , we’ll get hammered.

I thought it was a really good performance. Much improved, and I hope the lads don’t see it as as too much of a set back, for what was in essence a fluke goal, and a world class finish at the death.

Firstly on the FA Cup. We are better off out. We need need these games right now, and getting into the top four is going to be hard enough without a deep run in the cup. This season isn’t about trophies.

Joe Gomez. Anyone slagging him off can do one. The best players can get done by a world class turn like that, and he has to try and put himself in the way of what he thinks is going to be the shot.

Over the last few games, he has built a solid central defence with Konate. Anyone calling for Matip back has got a very short memory indeed.

Until the midfield changes, the Midfield did really well. Stefan Bajcetic has done brilliantly well called on. Incredible composure for a lad his age. The shirt is his for now. Which brings us to.

Fabinho. Christ almighty, he looks fucking finished at any level. Should have been given a red. Who’ve properly broken him. Probably too late to sell him now too. A few months ago we were all shitting ourselves he wouldn’t be fit for the Champions league final. Feels a long time ago now.

Great, thanks for your insight once again. Typical response, twist my words, then get questioned on it and gives the “not going to blah blah blah”

Klopp is struggling, injuries haven’t helped but the squad he has at his disposal he should be doing better with.

The players are burnt out, especially the midfield we need upgrades asap but our owners not interested, 300m to 3 to 4 billion and balancing books is all the cunts care about.

Yep, they’re not capable of the physical demands playing week in week out in this league…a lot would even struggle to play weekly in a 5 a side 10 mins either half.

Stamina levels rock bottom, physically broken, mentally drained, confidence shot.

Probably agree with this bar the cup, I’m disappointed in a way.

I have never understood this argument. When we have had long gaps between games in recent seasons we have been sluggish and there has been no advantage at all. We always do better when the games come thick and fast. We still have a strong enough squad to cope. Compare our bench today with their’s.

BTW every season is about trophies. Bet the players or manager won’t agree with that statement…which is why we put out our strongest possible side today.

You are Makati Red and I claim my £5.

I’d agree in a season like last season when we have players fit, and I don’t just mean healthy but also in tip-top condition.

At this moment, a break to have some of the newer players integrate better isn’t a problem. I wouldn’t necessarily say we’re better off, but I’m less upset than I would have been otherwise…

To early in the morning to watch live so a reolay it was.

Yeah we played better than the last time there, but thats a very low bar.

Harvey scored and puts in a a shit load of effort, but it’s mostly ineffective. He scurried around the pitch with those little corgi legs, but it’s all very headless. Thiago was awful. Poor passing and isn’t suited to the engine room role in midfield.

Teams used to sit back and let us have possession. Now they know if theu press our non press resistant midfield they will win back possession with ease and/or force an error.

The less said about the hunan sloths cameo from the bench the better.

Spot on. A 12 fold profit and they don’t want to cough up 50-60 million for a quality midfielder. John Henry must be planning on taking it with him.
I always said I’d be happy if they re-invested what the club earned into the squad. They are clearly not doing that. All their credit is used up, they need to sell up and go.

Matip is twice the player Gomez is. Don’t be too disappointed when he continues to gift the opposition chances/goals.

Lamest attempt ever to block a shot.
Turn you back, close your eyes and hope for the best.
Sunday league stuff, and not the first time this season.
