The Macca situation is a massive problem. He is a shadow of where he was last year, leaving a gaping hole in the midfield.
We have no chance of anything without Macca getting back to a similar level, or someone else replacing that output.

Dom has been amazing at times this year as well, but not consistently.

He’s been made to play multiple positions within the same match, let alone across different ones. Some of his defensive reading of the game as right back and short comings did get exposed recently but that’s not his fault I feel. That tells more about Bradley, Frimpong and Slot than Dom.

Shame he stayed in the pitch, to be honest. We can’t afford to carry him
I thought Robbo did well attacking but defensively he was poor. When he was one to one with Estavio he was standing off him by a couple of yards and giving him plenty of space to pass the ball to who he wanted. VVD did the same with the first goal and Robbo well out of position for the second.

He was injured.
He just seemed to be the only player who thought..fuck it I’m going to drive at 'em…and he bylined it a couple of times…got it to the pen spot…but alas no-one there to plant it.

It happened nearly every time!
All the people saying its early in the season last season we went top after the October international break and never gave it up and never had the issue of chasing. By the time we play again we could be 4 behind Arsenal and in the continuous chasing mode.
Van Dijk is concerned about the run from Gusto who is inside Kerkez. If he steps out there’s an easy pass on.
The space has opened up because our number 6 is miles away and only jogs back. Emptying the midfield has become a theme this season.

This season seems to be a transitional season. Forget about winning number 21 and/or winning the 7th UCL for Jota.
All of us will need to revise our expectations for this season…
I don’t want to think like that…but it may be the answer…but it’s so annoying when u think …if they all clicked…how good we could be…

I’m more annoyed at Jones, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Endo and whoever else was in the vicinity and was watching Fernandez slipping the ball through to Cucurella unchallenged.
Chelsea had 4 players in the box for the winner, which was virtually an open goal. We had 6 excluding Mamardashvili.
