Thats a great point you can forgive hard bastards, if they are consistent.
Burnley are whiny maulers, not hard men.
And that’s despite 5,000 free tickets being available.
They are a joke
One that Alisson mishandles, the one he pushes away and then the one at the end.
To be fair only one should have a chance of going in.
As for Mo being onside, he wasn’t. It’s marginal but he wasn’t.
Barnes reaction to the crowd on their offside and then the Kops reaction back, what a twat.
Congrats Ox and Perrie!!
I guarnantie you we can and should. That type of attitude is an aboration. There is no excuse for being complete shits!
Missed the whole thing due to work. Watched back today though, brilliant win. 20 is on.
I was surprised even that Klopp didn’t make more of that situation everyone was praising refs last week but as soon as it is liverpool the lines came back out at least this time it didn’t deny us the win but if it had stayed at1:0 guaranteed they would have got a penalty in the last minute!
Didn’t notice the ref but definitely noticed VAR and so did Newcastle
and matip
Just caught Match of the Day.
Interviewer: “I must ask you about Harvey Elliott, 18 years of age, Premier League debut. He looked like he’d been there for seasons.”
Klopp: *huge smile. “Yeah he’s good huh, isn’t he.” *smile gets even bigger. “What can I say, he’s just a wonderful wonderful talent.”
The lad is going to get plenty of chances this season. You can tell Klopp is very excited by him.
To be fair to Tarkowski my initial thought was that he had broke his cheekbone as he hit the back of Mane’s head with the side of his face
I felt a sense of invincibility yesterday, the feeling I had two seasons back. I presume having VVD is a huge factor in that for some reason. Having fans back and Hendo leading the side is another one. Having stable CB partnership with really great options off the bench is another. There was a moment when Burnley crossed in and Van Dijk headed it out, only for it to come back him and him clearing again. It felt so great, no nonsense and calmness personified. And on the other hand, him spraying that pass cross field that decimates the entire midfield creating something out of nothing. It makes so much difference to our play.
There seemed a feel good factor, I wasn’t nervous when we were just one up and felt confident that even if we somehow concede, we’ll score another one with ease. This was how it felt throughout the 19-20 campaign. This lacked hugely last season. It’s early days and I do not want to get carried away, but if we keep playing like this, we will build that aura around us, that led to teams more or less give up even before the ball was kicked.
I had that last week playing Norwich. The controll we showed just brought great memories back.
I didn’t see this Burnley match but from all accounts there wasn’t a player in our lineup to criticise same as for the Norwich match (excepting a lapse of concentration from Kostas). Just great feelings atm.
As I said elsewhere I’d go with Henderson at the times we were good we were excellent but there were some lapses, the first 15 and the last 5 spring to mind.
That last five is hopefully due to the game situation, because it also happened at Norwich.
At least it was only the last 5 we have a reputation of lapsing in the last 10-15 minutes in matches we are winning. We drop back (Ok) we drop off (not Ok).
I wouldn’t care if he broke his cheekbone like he wouldn’t care if mane was knocked out on this action. They play like thugs, then turn to pussies like every bullies in a teen movie
I think it’s not too dissimilar to how we played in 2019-20. It’s also early days in the season yet, so long as we keep winning, it’s not too important yet how we play. I think once we get our momentum going, we will definitely see much better and more consistent play.
Yeah, it could all come crashing down in the next game against Chelsea, but I think we’ve been comfortable so far without even getting into our stride. Still players to return once fit and possibly a new face.
